[RMAM]

Ok recently I came across this armor posted by letoanor on me3explorer.freeforums And though I like the armor I have never been able to get it into my game thru ME3explorer.  I thought maybe someone here could give me an idea on how to get it to work. Unfortunately she didn't give files for a manual download which I am familiar with.  Here is a pic and a link to the download.

all you do is copy and past that pcc file into your cooked folder.  after thats done open me3explorer and run the toc.bin update. turn on your texmod using a batch file and select the tpf  for the outfit

Would love to be able to use Me3Explorer instead of Texmod. Maybe I will just have to pass this armor by and stick to your wonderful armor User-domain-error. Oh the hardships. lol

You could use TPF/DDS Tools in ME3Explorer to add the textures of the TPF to the game instead of using Texmod (just save backups of your files, as using TPF Tools will overwrite the original textures).

That is the problem her textures will not load with Me3explorer for some reason. They hang while trying to convert.

That texture file download has no file extension (at all), that does not help.

Edit: apparently the main file holds the TPF as well, lemme have a look.

Edit2: Yeah, format errors, the diff and spec are TGA instead of DXT5 and are lacking MIPS and the V8U8 Norms are lacking MIPS.

You could try autofix if you haven't yet in TPF Tools.

Yea tried the autofix and just hangs while converting. Is ok thought it might be a lost cause but thought I would ask anyway.

i took the link i made down because the diff file was dtx5 not dtx1, and i had instructions to place it on fbda, which is not a dtx5 file.

Ya ELE wrote a guide a while back too on how to create a .mod from a PCC mod, for all the older releases that all apply to the same PCCs.

Lemme find it.. How to convert and individually install ME3 mods in PCC format. Quite handy for future ref for whoever =)

Wow. Just looked at the textures thinking this would look great in white/black. Maybe not LOL. These are some of the strangest texture files i have seen to date.

The diffuse is quite dark, but it's been neatly wrapped and the spec is sexy (from a texture modders pov anyways =P). It's slick work for sure.

But yeah due to it being so dark not easiest to recolour I assume. Can't make something out of nothing in the end, if the info doesn't exist. Check the alpha on the diffuse though it gives some more info on the metal bits if I recall, might be able to use that.

 

This girl really did a solid job, I wish she was still active so I could tell her that but I don't know her username outside of the ME3Explorer forums.

I managed to get the Diff altered and the result was pretty good i think
May still do some more work on removing some of the black areas, but like how it is at the moment.

Black was in fact easy to remove. Just added a new layer under the recolored main one and merged down
Added a leather texture and done. New recolored armor is ready to play with.

in case there are others out there like me and have a heavily modded FBD folder, I made a manual instal for this that comes with instructions in case you have a heavily modded FBD folders and dont want to reset them

Just loaded this into my game and OMG!! It's awesome.   Thank you soooo  much all of you. I wish I had half the talent you guys do in this stuff.
