I haven't tried to do a gold solo, but I feel that it's possible with the Salarian Infiltrator kit.

How're you finding the Hawk Missile works for you? I found it really useful for taking out the husks that I hadn't' noticed creeping up on me.
I also find it annoying, though, when I'm aiming at something and the missile staggers then sideways causing me to miss.

I welcome the missiles. It's just 100 less shields for an anti mook weapon. I usually don't spend a lot of time aiming. when I hold the tight aim button, I'm already going to fire. If the hawk missile gets to the enemy first, then just readjust.

Those weapons and that build does not scream finesse to me so I think you're right, a little stagger of what you're shooting at is only going to serve to help.

The primary gun is the Piranha.  Typhoon is OK as a long range spray and pray weapon.  It takes a while to get it going though so I usually lug the Piranha around.  The shotgun kills way quicker than the Typhoon in close range.  When I'm dealing with armored enemies from afar, the typhoon is a better option and there's enough bullets to kill many things before it runs out.

 

I use the grenades as a panic option to stun.  With the grenades and the hawk missiles, it may give you ample time to ready yourself from the threat.

EDIT: It was really good!  The sniper rifle was dealing very decent damage too against Cerberus!

How did the freeze combo's do with the QFE? I didn't think they were as powerful as the Paladin. It could be, though, I had it spec'd wrong. Either that or they serve a different purpose with her.

I don't really use cryo blast to setup combos.  Cryo blast is nothing like Snap Freeze.  It's a projectile and it only freezes unshielded enemies.  However, what I'm really using here is frozen vulnerability for my sniper rifle.  The freeze combo doesn't really work that well for my build so if I could respec it, I would put it on armor damage...
