You're right about there being little point. You often see high ranked players playing badly and low ranked players playing very well. I too got bored with my rank being at 180 (I think it was) so I decided to do some promoting.

 

I was surprised, I'd forgotten how weak a character get's at the lower levels as I had been playing with all characters at level 20 for so long.

Yeah, it forces you to play more tactfully. That's what I found with the bronze pacifist challenge, especially during 3, 6 & 10, too.

...and that's what I'm rubbish at, playing tactfully. I usually get impatient and go looking for trouble when sometimes it's better waiting for trouble to come to you, and, run away from trouble when necessary.

LOL, I wouldn't go that far  I've yet to solo a silver map. I think completing a solo game is a better indicator of how good you are than what you're N7 rank looks like. You've done gold haven't you?

 

I'm slowly getting better, it wasn't long ago that I wouldn't dare to venture out on a gold map by myself, I used to stick with the team, but I'm more confident now. I don't mean I'd rush off and leave the team behind, I mean, if I get separated from the team I won't panic as much

I did Gold solo with a krogan vanguard, geth, fire base giant. That doesn't count. Haha!

Typically, if you follow the party, you only pick up the scraps. So, I usually split up. Just be careful. LOL!

Haha. Mati is so crazy good, it won't matter if you don't follow him. He'll do the objectives, revive teammates, and wipe out the enemies before you and I!

It's like there's actually three Mati's in the game, you know he's doing an objective   and then he revives you at the same time  whilst the third instance of Mati wipes out a Banshee  as she makes her way across the map, just by glaring at her, I reckon

Haha! That's so true. In one match, he bailed me out of the banshee sync kill three times without using missiles! His skills are unreal.

I very nearly beat him  I think he was teasing me though, I was ahead of him practically all the way through until the last few seconds of wave 11.

 

Of course, he was a mere level 11 or 12 and I was level 19. He did go down a lot though and I managed to clear a wave as the last man standing on one occasion - just three phantoms and an atlas to clear. He was giving great encouragement, made me relax.

Wii the best is one of the best players in ME3 MP. He's also a score chasing kind of player. He likes missiling spawn points so it's hard to chase his scores.

I'm having some serious stupid fun using the salarian infiltrator.  I don't know why I avoided this kit for so long, but now that I get it.  This is seriously, seriously, insane!!!

 

This is the end result of my most recent Salarian Infiltrator destruction!  I know some people would call this score whoring but the score I get is way higher than what I usually end up doing in gold matches.  wii-the-best was using a vorcha soldier.  I think he was playing a bit sloppily today.

- Note, I didn't use a single missile.  The only consumable I ended up using was one ops pack at the last few waves.  I also only went down ONCE.

 

- This was a much sloppier run and wii-the-best switched to a level 1 Fury, which explains his score.  I went down a few times thanks to the hidden phantoms and turrets but once again, the level of destruction was unprecedented!

 

I think this is a much easier kit to get into than the geth infiltrator!  I'll post my build in a bit!

I wasn't sure about the Energy Drain since N7HQ isn't showing the powers I picked.  I think I got it right though.  I used to really hate Energy Drain because it only drained shields if the enemy was shielded, leading to the question: "Then, what's the point?"  It's only with this kit that I realize that the power also stuns enemies briefly, like the acolyte pistol.  I think this makes the kit easier to get into sniping since energy drain is a hitscan move and stuns enemies from afar.  So, you can quick scope with a Black Widow while the enemy is stunned, leading to serious murderous damage.  If one brings the sniper rifle, make sure to adjust the build so tactical cloak has the sniper rifle damage bonus (and the damage bonus evolution, 4b) for maximum carnage.  I think energy drain can then be relegated to something like 3 points for a quicker power recharge and the ability to stun smaller mooks like the husks which are harder to shoot with the sniper rifle.

 

In short, this kit is amazing!  I like the Cerberus Harrier but the ammo runs tend to be problematic after a while.  I need to get better at taking care of phantoms.  I usually stop using my powers and acolyte spam, but I can't help but feel there's a better and more efficient way to go about it.
