my single player wishlist contains only one entry:

1) for SINGLE PLAYER to receive more attention bug fixing-wise.

MP receiving 10 times more fixes than SP in every single update is disgusting, given the bugs still present in campaign mode to this day. the Hanar quest, the Omega glitches (embarrassing cutscenes AND Shepard getting stuck in the door bypass animation loop), getting stuck on the Normandy bridge, the audio cut-off glitch.......list goes on and on.

To be honest, I only found 1 bug in my walkthrough- in ME2, Shepard has the tendency to get stuck in textures ( tables, mostly ).

Apart from that, I didn't find anything.

And even then, one may argue that MP was left in a quite buggy state concerning certain things (lag directly affecting vanguard-class as well as a number of weapons, for one).

Agreed on SP-bugs needing a better dose of patching, at any rate. Spot to get stuck in beside EDI and Joker on the Normandy is very much present even now.

to which I'd say they never had to pay a single dime for their DLCs, unlike the SP crowd.

I am by no means arguing that. Merely shows that quite noticable and game-breaking bugs, as the one I mentioned remain even in the base-game after the one year of patching-support.

You did not notice the Blue Suns-helmeted corpses in this N7-mission as a bug, nor TIM looking in on the Collector-base?

A lot more noticable while playing, full-screen.

Uploader left a red box there for convenience. That "flare" up left is in fact TIM, try higher resolution should it not be clear enough.

Not to mention the dialogue glitch with the Ashley date scene, and the ladder bug in the Leviathan dlc

They took very little time and effort to make and could be made in a few weeks. so it makes scene. In SP you have voice acting, level design etc. to consider and that is costly.

The best thing they can do to improve the SP game is to abandon that stupid MP mess and actually spend that time and resources on the SP game.

It won't, from what is known so far Bioware wants the SP in the next game is going to expand the universe with some form of exploration, and i doubt there will be a MP only ME game anytime soon.

If they want to make a MP game, then fine. But create a sister company to make an online game and keep it separate from the SP. For every thing that one finds wrong, bugged or left out in or with the SP, they only need to look as far as the MP.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the ME universe and it has a completely different target audience. Why should the ME fans suffer to appease the CoD children with run-n-gun after school entertainment?

Melding the two is a only going to be detrimental to the game as a whole.

Its a lot easier for devs to keep the two modes in the same game, and plenty of people who like the SP also enjoyed the MP as well so speak for yourself only. MP also Bioware had separate teams developing MP and SP content, the MP had nothing to do with the issue's in SP.

... right.

I'd expect as much.

The truth is... those that you are referring to are the ones that the mode was created for where the dialog was removed from the game. It's the first step into making the game something it's not and essentially removing the RPG form it all together. So, yes I will speak out and say it loud and proud to passionately defend the series and petition to keep it what it was meant to be and keep it from becoming another scream fest for kids with a controller in one hand and a bowl of Spaghetti-O's in the other, yelling obscenities in the ear of everyone involved until their parents get home.

That is the targeted demographic they attracted and not the bulk of the series fanbase. So, I speak for those and I'm not alone either. As long as this remains an open forum, I will continue to speak out. All in the effort to salvage the series I became so infatuated with over the last 6 years.

They took existing team members and placed them on the MP stuff. Pulling developers to work on a separate project and calling it separate is a cop out. By doing that you remove personnel that could be proofing the SP game so it most certainly affects it.

Hardly any RPG aspects were removed from it, in fact there was a lot of customization added to it (more so than ME2 which was bear bones). Its also important to expand the fan base as well keeping the old fans, it helps generate interest in the franchise and from my experience on MP I hardly encountered any six year old's. Fans of the series (who are just as passionate about the series) and new fans liked MP and its hear to stay, I don't see the problem in having both a good SP and good MP they can both contribute to the replay value of the game.

When you remove the dialog and thus have no dialog choice to advance the game, it becomes just another run-n-gun with periodic cutscenes. I'd say that's removing the RP form RPG.

I didn't say anything about 6 year olds. But the fact that you met any at all speaks volumes.

There more to RPG's than just dialogue options in fact I don't think anyone can come up with a definition on what makes an RPG that everyone can agree on. As for the six year old's if there very rarely encountered then I'll only be concerned when the threads frequently complain about them everyday. If your worried you can as the people in the MP forums if it helps.

I will be 70 years old next month. I have a lot of time over the years invested in RPGs and was there to witness the evolution of them from tabletop to the text based games on the Tandy TRS 80. RPGs at their core are all about dialog choice. To even suggest otherwise is utterly ridiculous.

There's nothing to disagree with. It's all about making choices and having the gameworld react to those choices. When you remove that element it becomes an action game and not an RPG. It is what it is.
