I try to travel, no help there.

I try to click on supress, I manage to do that, but now I need to rest.

How I'm suposses to devour spirits, if I can't click on both devour and supress without resting between?

One trick is to use Suppression near as many spirits as possible.  Elementals count, so have your party members summon elementals, then use Suppress, then rest.

What if I'm near 50% of my spirit energy? Would that be OK?

Right now, I can't press suppress without resting first. Would it be good idea to rest?

I think it would be okay at 50%, but I don't know how bad your craving is.  The more you use the "devour" abilities, the faster your spirit bar diminishes.  See what happens if you do it, and reload the game if it's too ineffective.

Another thing you may want to do is either pause the game while reading dialogue, leveling up, and using the inventory, or install Kaldor Silverwand's mod that automatically pauses the spirit bar while you're doing things like that.

The easiest way to manage the spirit meter is to reduce your hunger to the lowest level. There are a couple of events that fill up the meter. There are also a couple of places where you effectively get a "free" use of suppress.

I have low carving, about 15-20%. I may already have Kaldor Silverwand's mod, I don't really remember because my brother allowed his friend to install this mod.

What does he do, besides this?

Which events and where are those places?

Are you sure you want to be spoiled? And if you do, where are you in the game and are you playing Good or Evil?

I'mplaying Good and I don't mind being spoiled. I read gambanshee nwn2 site in advance, as I progress playing the game. But it would be too much to read everything in advance, so I usually read about two or three areas where I'm planning to go.

As for spoiler itself, just say the area name or quest involving that area, you don't need to be very talkative. I'm at the begining of Chspter 2 and I played Wells of Lure a bit and reached Ashwood, but I just reloaded the game at the very begining of the ch2.

One question. Could you disturb the graves in Mulsantir so you can suppress spirits endlessly?

Are you asking what else Kaldor's mods do?  It may be the Mask of the Betrayer Makeover mod, which includes the spirit meter pausing and a lot of other things, detailed here.

Alright, I shall be vague until otherwise requested. In the Death God's vault is a crematorium. Doing a good deed there will earn you a new way of replenishing the spirit meter that doesn't cause craving. It will also fill up your spirit meter. Following the Good path in Ashenwood will gain you another spirit eater ability and also refill your meter.

At certain points in the game you will enter a "Dream World". Usually when this occurs it's like your character has rested and you wake with your spirit eater abilities refreshed. Take notice of when this happens, because it means that you get a free use of your abilities while in that "world". Depending of the situation I usually Supress. There are at least 2 times where this happens, one of them is at the Wells of Lurue.

The graves you can only disturb twice. The Death Gods vault has hundreds (I don't think I'm exaggerating with that number) of undead, that if you're careful you can ration to yourself when desperate (the ability you learn in the crematorium is very handy for this). Also, the Mummy Priests will respawn.

Hello! I didn't play for a while, but now I reloaded the game and I'm playing Wells of Lurue again. I entered Dream World with Gann and Kaelyn's siblings (I didn't tell them to go, nor I talked to them, so they stayed.), but my spirit abilites aren't refreashed!

But I finally understand how spirit abilities work. I just need essences and I click on suspress, then I click on essences and my spirit energy is refreashed and I still have those essences!

Does supress abitility has 5 minutes cooldown period? Because, when I enter a Dream World I can't use supress unlimited times! Is this a bug?

Welcome back.

Actually, Suppress is a "once per day" ability, according to the description.  In addition, "This ability may not be used on the same day as any devour-based ability."  You get the most benefit from Suppress when there are more spirits near you.  I'm not familiar with using essences to affect the bar, but I thought I recalled seeing a mod adding that.

I played for a while and now I understand how spirit part of the game works. Now I play relatively easy. I might have this Kaldor Silverwand's mod, but I might forgot this because it might been installed by my brother's friend more than a year ago.

My NWN2 mods including the MotB SE Autopause and the MotB Makeover (which includes among other things the Autopause and the ability to consume essences) and a Spirit Energy recharger item are all available from my blog at <http://bbellina.blog...tware-by.html>.

I'm now at dead god's vault and I'm bit nervous. I got ethernal rest, my SE is 99, and carving is 0. I could use ethernal rest 9 more times, but I worry my SE will drop significantly when I complete lower vault. I didn't loot urns/vaze, so I still have to fight Dread Wraihts.

I was searching for videos of Dead god's vault, but on youtube I only find those who played lower level in CH1.

Will I loose much of my SE?

I'm not sure. If need be you can download my Spirit Eater Recharger item from my Silverwand Sundries item collection here: <https://drive.google...U1ZGZlluUWhZbVU>. Sometimes I think exchanging a little cheating for a lot of frustration is a fair trade.

Funny, I did the same thing. Made a rod that replenishes the spirit meter.

At one point in time I had the whole spirit meter figured out, and was able to play through a good portion of the game using only the Feats given, and keep my spirit above 75%. But I have long forgotten all the tricks and tips, and it is just micromanagement I detest anyway. A magic rod to 'cheat' is definitely a fair trade.

This is one of those game mechanics that... on paper might have seemed fine, but when implemented, it just sucked big-time.

Kaldor - those sundries.. are they open for anyone to use in a mod? I'm always looking for neat items for my campaign; building all of them myself so far, but it gets tedious.

All of my stuff is free to use in your mods. All I ask is to be given appropriate credit in your docs.
