This is going to sound kind of silly because I know the devs have been working SO hard at only showing the REAL game, but I'd still love to have one of those crazy overblown CGI trailers. Because those are awesome. Even if they totally aren't accurate to the actual game.

Lol.
I like those too.
Hopefully further trailers with in-game footage will look SO GOOD that you'll think they must be CGI.

I love CGI trailers as much as the next person, but what i find is they can relate to ppl being very disappointed in the game itself, take the MMO Eve online, ppl looove watching the trailers, absolutely adore them, but then they play the game an are like WTF is this, seen it happen with soo many games, ppl watch the trailers an then the realistic gameplay hits them when they buy the game.
For myself i would prefer a mix of both gameplay an cgi tbh
Edit: you know there somein about the rain in the DA:I trailers thats bloody annoying me lol an i cant think what

I like cgi trailers but not at the expense of real game stuff. That said I have seen enough actual gameplay(or will have after the supposed e3 demo). So id be up for a cgi trailer... but one thing that bugs me with da and me is that they have always had white(presumably straight) human male protagonists in the trailer. So I think itd be really kool if there was an elven archer or dwarf or something. But then again.. they've already shown that damn white human male(most likely straight) in the other trailers an gameplay so I shouldn't get my hopes up.

I agree, they're pretty enjoyable to watch. Even if they're inaccurate.

If it has to be a dude why does he always have the same hair color and the same five-o'clock shadow, too?

I'm sure I'e read somewhere they said they have no plans to make a CGI trailer this time round.

Isn't every trailer a CGI yrailer, since CGI stands for "computer generated image"?

A CG trailer is something made by technology not possible in the game. An in-engine trailer is something made by the engine the game uses, but with angles and models that don't really equate to gameplay. A gameplay trailer is just that, the game as anyone who plays it would see it (but probably with HUD removed).

I miss being able to watch Bioware/Blur trailers for entertainment while wishing Blur would finally make a feature length film.

Massive CGI trailers can cost millions of dollars, so let's leave that budget to the game itself. Dragon Age: Inquisition looks gorgeous as it is.

The thing that bothers me the most about the in-game engine trailer is the clipping errors and the floating weapons on the characters' backs. You can clearly see that Vivienne's staff is going through her collar in ther closeup scene. It's quite annoying that nobody bothered to prevent clipping or collision issues, at least for a big reveal trailer.
For a next-gen game, I would have expected weapon placement that doesn't break immersion so much. It seems that when the devs were looking at Skyrim for inspiration, they didn't learn the most important lesson there : good world-building is primarily about making it believable and immersive, not simply making it more "open".

It's not a next gen game. It's a cross gen game. While the next gen version will look prettier and run better , there won't be a massive difference.

Well those have been handled by Blur and I don't feel like looking them up but they were usually released closer to release.
Abraham_uk I hate you.
I hate you
because its like a dog with a bone. I have to watch those trailers even if I just think about them.

Believable?! You do realize you're talking about a game that has a cliff-climbing horse?

I love CGI trailers, would love to see one for DA:I... My favourite one is still the "deceived"trailer for SWTOR.
