If I was trying to come up with a made-up name for the next Mass Effect, I sure wouldn't pick Origins...

Like the article and several people stated, it's likely a place-holder for development. The real question is why specifically Origins.

 

Without any Bioware related knowledge, you'd assume Origins would refer to a prequel. Literally, an origin to how ME1-3 came to be.

 

When you bring in previous Bioware knowledge, DAO was based on being a certain title, the Grey Warden. The Grey Warden wasn't any one race, gender, or background. In Mass Effect" "Origins", you're going to be this character who can be any race, gender, or background.

But i really hope it will be a trilogy, 3 games on PS4 and One just like ME1,2 and 3, but this time Bioware will write all the story and won't make mistakes.

Ooh, this. I agree it's probably a placeholder title, but yesss, it'd be amazing if ME4 has a similar strucure to DAO by allowing you to play different origins.

I think we all kinda wish every Bioware game had that structure.  Its awesome, though I get why they don't.
