All I meant was that Bioware should plan things out better.  If they think they want to include a character in a substantial role in a later game, don't position that character so that death is a possibility in the current game and stick with your decision.

Like they did with Liara.

Like they did with Liara.

The problem with her was, amongst other things related to her characterization, more that they imposed her as Shepard's biggest fangirl (And a writer's pet) pretty much no matter what, at least for me.  Not that she couldn't die.

i completely with the writer's pet. She was the liliana of ME. The thing with Liliana is she could be killed and they still brought her back.

Thing is, I actually liked Leliana in DA:O.  The way the writers have treated her since then though reminds me disturbingly of Liara's post ME treatment though.

I liked her too, pending my character. However, beheading an NPC only to have them return in such a strong role was detrimental to the story. Being so much sold on "your choices matter". I think they may have learned form that and can only hope the ME as well as the DA series can move forward in a more positive way to appreciate the players decisions.

Really? How? My memory of DA:O is vague.

You can kill him off during the events of DAO (if you do not side with his wife and your approval level is low) but he is alive and well in Awakenings
