I wouldn't be suprised if he died of natural causes. He was getting kinda old by the time of DAO.

Actually...he was supposed to  be in his mid to late 40s....while Teagan was in his late 30s

Wow really? I would have pegged him in his 60s

I didn't read the whole thread so maybe someone brought this up.

According to The Stolen Throne, Teagan AND Eamon are MUCH younger than Rowan (their late sister), Loghain, and Maric. I never understood why Eamon looked so old. Him and Teagan really shouldn't look like they have a decade between them. I'm guessing Rowan was like...in her twenties? As was Loghain and Maric. And she called Teagan and Eamon her little brothers, like way little. Not old enough to fight and they had to go live with their uncle while the Orlesians were being driven out of Ferelden. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I got from the book.

Edit: On topic... My canon endings have Eamon handing Redcliffe over to Teagan. I hope it stays that way. I like Teagan better. <_<

I thought I read somewhere that Rowan was in her late teens during the Rebellion. She stayed behind. Eamon is supposed to be 8-9 years older than Teagan.

Teagan comes across as the surprise baby. We don't know anything about their mother so I assumed she died a few years after Teagan was born.

The rebellion? o: If by "the Rebellion" you mean when Maric assembled forces to drive out that Orlesian dude, then no. Rowan was right there fighting with them the entire book. She may have very well been in her late teens, though. Which is why I thought Teagz and Eamon must've been pretty young if they weren't fighting, too.

Nope, Rowan was with Maric the entire book. They were both late teens (early twenties would be pushing it) during the events of the book. The actual rebellion continued 2-3 years past the book.

Eamon and Teagan weren't given ages, but it was mentioned they were with their mother in the Free Marches. I believe it is stated somewhere that Eamon fought during the end of the rebellion, but I'm not 100%.

Now that I'm home, I flipped through the book to find the bit I remembered.

"Rowan's family had made many sacrifices for the rebellion. Arl Rendorn had given up his beloved Redcliffe to the ursurper. His wife, the Arlessa, had died from fever on the road, and he sent his two younger sons, Eamon and Teagan, away to live with cousins in the far north. Who knew if the Arl's sons would even recognize him if they returned now?"

There was another with Rowan mentioned them but I haven't found it. Anyway, that makes them sound pretty young.

Edit: That bit is on pg. 104, btw.

Eamon and Teagan are brothers.

I doubt Connor would be the heir since he was sent off the the circle.

That is surprising. I always thought Eamon much older than both his wife and his brother.

I thought he was in his 50s in DA:O which would have put him in his 60s around the time of DA:I. Not exactly ancient, but in a quasi-medieval setting it wouldn't be unheard for someone to die in their 60s.

I suppose Eamon just looks older than he is.

Eamon retires/dies. Connor goes to the Circle/Tevinter or is dead. Rowan II is also a mage. Teagan inherits Redcliffe.

Maybe teagan got promoted because he's honestly a more popular character? (Seriously does anyone not love him?)

He is one of my favorites from Origins.

Not sure about Eamon, on my playthrough(s) he passed the torch to Teagan but still alive...

However, I found it odd that in MoTA, Teagan and Isolde were there together and there was no mention of Eamon. I do NOT like Isolde.

I do hope Eamon and especially Teagan is somewhere in the game. Hopefully without that nose, though....

Eamon went back to Redcliff in my game, so he better be there because my Warden is Chancellor.
