Personally, I would have chosen PC - but my 2 year-old £550 budget build was struggling to keep Mass Effect 3 running at just over 30 FPS in the first place, so for the sake of performance I'd take the PlayStation 4 version for this one. If it turns out to be a new trilogy, I'll play the entire trilogy on PS4 - just to transfer my saves.

 

I doubt the new game will be on last-gen machines, eg. PS3 and Xbox 360 - but provided the next Mass Effect released in mid-2015 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC (with next-gen consoles offering exact vanilla PC visuals and ran the game at 60 FPS), which machine(s) would you play it on?

 

And please, guys, no console warring.

There is no way in Monkey Crap that Mass Effect will be on Current, did you see the level of Details in those Shots, that game is big time next-Gen only.

 

But I do not see this game until 2016 anyways, bye that time I should own my PS4 Console, I should have my PS4 sometime next year after my final PS3 Games next year such as Persona 5 & Tales.

 

Even though Current is Officially Dead, I will still keep my PS3 due to Next Gen not being Backwards.

 

I see this coming in 2016, So in 2016 looks to be Cyberpunk 2077 vs. Mass Effect

To everyone looking into buying a PS4 - speaking from personal experience, it's a great machine, but you adjust to it so fast that after your first day it feels no different than your old PS3/Xbox 360 did. Wait until a game like DA:I or ME4, eg. a game you're actually going to want, before you buy. I bought Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag alongside my PS4 in December, and whilst I don't regret getting them all, I know that it I had gotten them for Xbox 360 things really wouldn't have been that different.

Arkus Eon, I done made my choice that I will not get the PS4 until PS3 Support stops, should be like the PS2 days which the PS2 lasted for about 10 years, which the PS3 is about 8 years now so leaves 2 more years support.

 

People seem to forget about Persona 5 & Tales coming in Next year, PS3 is still a useable & awesome console with games such as Fairy Fencer F, TOX-2,  to Diablo 3 Ultimate with Saints IV getting GOTY treatment.

 

Cant wait to play ME but like I said I see nothing on the PS4-X1 that screams Buy ME, sorry not impressed with the Halo Collection when I can play those same games on my 360 without dropping down 70 bucks for those same games I own currently.

 

I am also still busy with games I never played & new games such as Ragnarok Odyssey, SF IV Ultra. to many others such as Sacred 3. The PS3 is not dead yet so I think going next gen right now is DUMB & Waist of MONEY.

 

I will get me a U & a Nintendo 2DS those I can understand to get cause of Zelda & Star  Fox next year. For now I am happy with what I have & I don't care about how Inquisition is on my PS3 long as it isn't UN-PLAYABLE like Watch Dogs turned out to be.

PC, hopefully they don't limit the graphics to the maximum that the consoles can support. Instead letting the graphics be as good as can be on the consoles and as good as can be on PC.

XBOX ONE can't wait 4 it:) till than ME3 Multiplayer 4 20000 N7 or more, Hope the mp is as Great as ME3 and more maps and enemys maybe

Admittedly, I loved my Xbox 360. I never used it for Mass Effect, but it was a good machine.

PC for me!!! Its better, cheaper and        well, Everything is just better, PS4 and Xbox one both have high prices, Xbox one charge money for playing online, soo Its PC without questioning...

 

AND.. No offense, I wont get Xbox one due to 343 banningn me from Halo 4 (Just because I reached max rank in multiplayer in 4 days.....)

 

PS4, never been my style, but they sure know what they are doing. ^^

PC I Build My Own As I Have A Tendency To Play The High End Games I Run A 64 Bit OS 8 Gigs Of Ram And A Amd3 XF Quad Core 3.50 Bumped Up To 4.50 6 Case fans. So High End Games Isn't A Problum .

My N64, PS1, and PS3 are in a box collecting dust.   After about 10-15 years (when I totally forget those games), I'll pull them out and enjoy them again.

 

Since I have an overkill video editing monster (that is aging), my next will be another video editing monster (usually far overkill in both graphics & cpu power).  That will likely be the NEXT generation of the cylindrical Mac Pro with 12 cores, 4k video, and all SSD drives.  

 

If there is a SINGLE feature about the PC that I like the best is aiming with the MOUSE.  I can easily shoot an ant off the top of a telephone pole -- in contrast to fiddling with buttons (or toggle stick) which is a "binary refinement" process to find the target (takes too long). 

 

Second, the KEYBOARD is ergonomically more suitable for my hands instead of abstract location of buttons on my Nintendo & PSs.   In some 100 games I've played, I've studied & kept knotes of the ergonomics of the features MOST used, SOMETIMES used, LEAST used, and keys that don't need realtime action (like in a shootout).  

 

For me, the hot keys are keeping the 4 LEFT hand fingers in a straight line  (ASDF)  A=left, S=fwd, D=right, F=duck  then W for activation, pick up, etc.   Some games have so many features, I almost run out of keys so I program my 7-button mouse (map, inventory, save, etc).  Seems like that would be difficult to do on a console (unless you can memorize multiple button combinations).

 

My machine is DUAL bootable so I will always buy a game made for the Mac before considering the same game for Windows.  (please let's not spin off on a WAR on that issue since I have some       myself).
