Since Microsoft stopped trying to cram the Kinect up everyone's ass, I'll probably go with the Xbox one.

PC, I've never owned a console anyway.

Wow, you've missed out on so many amazing games.

Anyway PS4 for me, that's my system of choice this gen. I just don't like playing games at a desk. I tried it for most of last gen, and I just never got used to it.

PC. Will probably need to upgrade it for ME:Next

There is only one game I feel I'm missing out on - Uncharted series. Watched them on YouTube instead :)

PC - switched from the PS3 after the "share" button was announced for the PS4 before the actual game titles. Haven't looked back, I should have ditched consoles after the PS2.

BTW how is the graphics of DA3 on the differnet platforms? Any visible differences, you know, PC mustard race and stuff?

That's random? Why would an optional button that makes recording/streaming footage quick and easy put you off consoles? What a strange reaction lol.

That's like me saying "oh my god, my keyboard has a print screen button on it, I'm done with PC's!".

1. SteamOS (or Linux in general)

2. Macbook Air

3. PlayStation 4

I absolutely refuse to use anything made by Microsoft, and this narrows my choices. If I were able to play these games on Linux, then I could have the PC gaming experience without the Windows operating system. My choice distribution for this purpose would be SteamOS, since I own all of my games (except Mass Effect 3) through Steam already. This also rules out Xbox.

My current computer is a Macbook Air. While I have found the touchpad to be surprisingly practical for playing RTS games, I suspect it will not hold up when playing a shooter. This can be remedied with a bluetooth mouse that I already own. There is, however, the issue of minimum system requirements.

Consoles are difficult to use with any precision, and so I have a preference for anything that at least allows a mouse. Even if Mass Effect and other games were never made available for Linux or OSX, I would consider a Playstation 4, since I can use a mouse with it. However, this option would require an additional purchase and I have not fully researched it.

-Games are commonly compatible with Linux and OSX now. They are also gaining more market share.

-OSX, in particular, mitigates the issues with diverse hardware.

755M SLI laptop, maybe upgrade to 970M. This runs latest Frostbite games and should do the same with ME4. I can't wait!

Frostbite 3 was built for Battlefield 4, which is a PC-centric open world shooter. The shaky launch of BF4 on last gen consoles and new gen should be more than enough evidence to show that consoles are not powerful enough and DICE and BioWare will need to downscale substantially in order for their games to work properly. With an i7 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a GTX770 2GB VRAM, I'm not too concerned about running the next Mass Effect at max settings given the reasonable system requirements for DAI.

I'll upgrade if I need to though, as the experience will just be that much better on PC. Just do a comparison of ME2/3 on console and on PC. It's almost night and day. 60fps. Quick load screens. Better visuals. Everything is improved. I really do encourage many to make the jump to PC if they can. It's more costly in the short term, but ends up being much cheaper in the long run (PC games are cheaper and are often on sale and you will not have to upgrade your rig often because consoles hold back developers from really bushing PC hardware).

PS4 for all next-gen stuff. I played the ME trilogy in 1080p@60fps on my pc though, so I'm just gonna shake my head when everybody talks about how amazing the ME Trilogy remaster is because of how sharp it looks and how smooth it runs.

I played the trilogy once on PS3. NEVER AGAIN! What a ****** mess.

Although I am worried about how NextME will run because DA:I on PS4 has annoying stutter in all cutscenes because of DoF and there's constantly sound-bugs in combat because it seems like Frostbite's way of streaming its graphics and sounds gets delayed by all the variables you have in a Bioware game. I would've much prefered Unreal Engine 3 or 4 for future Bioware games.

Well, I have a new rig, which eats the so called "next gen" consoles for breakfast, so PC it is.

Also, seeing what the guys are already doing with DA:I makes me rather optimistic about the modding capabilities for ME Next, so there is that to consider as well.

PC, I just find it personally more preferable - I also like using a keyboard and mouse more than a controller.

Would prefer PC, but only if Controller enabled...but then again as ME is the only game I now play on XBox, all other games I play are Controller enabled on PC, I wouldn't buy the latest XBox for just one game. So is a wait and see for me if I will be playing ME4 at all.
