The only thing I know for sure is that there's going to be some fanfiction written that makes me very uncomfortable.

There's plenty of fanfiction out there that makes me uncomfortable and I don't even have a Grey Warden dad. People are messed up

Only three females out of the companions.   Leliana is not a companion and Scribe Girl, although not confirmed, is probably one of the advisers.

Ah. Ok. Still, that's 5 women out of 12. And that's just from the last supper image.

Unless those people are talking about how attractive a character is because then they are just sad and trying to turn the game into a dating sim, right?

Half of the BSN(at least) treats BioWare's games like that already. Romance threads are always more active than plot threads.

But Leliana and Scribe Girl are just NPCs, not companions.

Right, but isn't it just their right to express their opinions.  Sounds like someone is verging dangerously on the SWJ line......

Probably because women are going to be playing a larger role  than men in shaping the events of the game.

Celene. Flemeth. Morrigan. Briala. Whoever gets declared the Divine when Justinia gets blow'd up real good.

And for the men there is Gaspard. And I can't think of anyone else.

Hardly. (S)he is just making an observation.

Daveliam (I think) was referring to Steppenwolf's original accusations and seemingly what his/her belief of what 'SJW's do.

Either way, people keep using that word and I don't think it means what they think it means.

Let's put that side of the topic to rest, everyone, because it will turn ugly.

I would like to think the term "Social Justice Warrior" should be the last one someone uses as an invective against someone else, as that would imply that they think fighting for Social Justice is a bad idea... which is just silly.

Back on topic, however. This guy looks hardcore. I might play a Rogue or Mage first playthrough just so I can have him and Cassandra in my party at all times. If I play a warrior, I might actually have to choose between them, and that's just unacceptable. I miss your six person parties from Baldur's Gate, Bioware. Get on that!

But then there's Sera, and she's just cute. But like so many women I find attractive these days, I think that might only because she has the same face shape as my wife in the new pictures, right down to the norweigian nose and short blonde hair. Plus she's an elf, which means she'll be short. Curse you, Bioware. Curse you!

why would someone give character a name that inevitably associates with a London district/tunnel as well as a popular video-game glitch (invisible walls that are mot supposed to be)? Some might even think of the 'Black Wall Street' tragedy as well, by the way.

I'm just realising that without his beard he'd look just like my Dad.

please, please have a different personality. i don't want to be feeling constant sheepish daughter guilt while i'm flirting with or murdering other characters in game.

Greg Ellis looks like my dad. Good thing they sound nothing alike or I'd have been hard pressed to think about digging Cullen.

Because they are Canadian and have probably never heard of it. I can up with my own reason for his name, so I'm happy with it.

Oh god, that'd be the worst! It's lucky I'm not into older bearded guys, or there could be problems. Still, if he's the mentor type like everyone's saying he might be, it'll be like playing with a dark version of my father telling me what to do. I'll start rebelling just to prove a point.

and then what if he dies?! damn it, bioware.

After horrible looking Sera reveal , atleast this one look kinda cool , will be tough decision on what melee char to take now , seeing that DA: I warriors companions looks all cool , there almost no point to make Inquisitor go as warrior.

I find it funny that he's so different from Fenris.

Blackwall; "So are you the rouge or the mage of your party?"

Fenris: "No, I'm the one who carries the greatsword."

Blackwall: "Aha..."

Well, I'm not from London, my first thought when I read his name was "Blackwall Jackson".

I think he has to be the shortbread.

(I think that DHMG/Dorian is the stawberry parfait and Cole is the wax fruit.)
