Lol @ jugg and krogans being hard to play.

 

I'm really good with krolord and anything else that can be built for melee, but think about it on an objective level. Full melee is one of the most difficult playstyles to master in this game compared to gun or power spam. The krolords kit revolves completely around melee. Sure, anyone can just throw a reegar or some other noob tube on him and rely on weapon damage like you can with any character, but if you know krolord very well (which it sounds liek you do) then you already know that he's build to smash things with his hammer, and not stop smashing things till they're all dead. So, most difficult playstyle to master + character designed for said playstyle = hard to play for most people.

 

Juggie just takes a lot of people a lot of time to figure out because he plays so differently from any other character that you kind of have to put yourself in a different mind-space to get good with him.

 

Anyway, OT. I've always had trouble with with novaguard. I only ever play off host so I never really mastered the art of extended nova-cancelling. Also I suck with slayer.

Lets say it's highly fraction dependent. Krolord is cheeze vs geth and lols at carebears (claylord was the most relaxed cerberus solo I ever had)
Banshees make reapers more tough to him.
Crabs and insane deeps make collectors even more problematic.
Still, his biotic hammer deals with armor just fine.

The key to playing the Krogan Warlord is playing in a team with all Krogan Warlords.
Those Banshees can only pick one of you up at a time.

QMI has arc grenades. Massive damage and area stagger.

 

And no infiltrator is 'hard' to play - they have a cloak to drop aggro and massively boost their damage. And Saber QMS without sabotage requires much better aiming than black widow QMI.

Try this instead:
46664 with arcs specked for armor damage, passives for power, head shots and weapon damage.
Weapon: suppressor
Gear: drill rounds, geth scanner and adrenaline

Use grenades mainly for bosses, sometimes for mobs. I don't even use a secondary when I run this set up.

I'll say the Drellguard also. Just can't stay alive with this guy. And Cluster Nades can be wonky at times.
