Hey, everybody, I'm curious as to whether most people who play warriors in Dragon Age prefer the Sword & Shield or Two-Handed for warriors. I played mainly with Sword & Shield in DAO and Two-Handed in DA2. I'm not sure which I would prefer for DAI. Obviously, I'd have to try them both out in-game, but I'm interested in people's general preference on this matter from past games. People who plan to play a warrior in Inquisition, do you plan to do so with a Sword & Shield or Two-Handed style?

In DA2, I found it a lot more fun to be a two-handed warrior, since you have those fast and cool animations. In DAO I lean towards sword and shield more.
I hope we have cool animations in DAI as well so each class is fun to play.

In DAO, I was a Warrior Archer.
God I miss those days.

I normally play as a mage, but if this is a rose on the hilt of this sword I might do a warrior play through.

I used to play as an Arcane Warrior, both as one and a regular I ended up swinging to Shield and Sword in DA:O, I still don't have a warrior for DAII.

I tend to play both kinds equally, with maybe a slight more on Two-Handed.

Two handers, as a warrior i feel like my role is to deliver damage and hold off the enemy. As long as im being covered, i feel invisible

I think it's a bit early to be declaring your preference for a fighting style in DA:I , don't you think? XD Screenshots and alpha play footage are hardly enough to make such a difficult decision on...
True enough. Just considering the possibilities. We've got months until we actually get to try out different play-styles. Might as well speculate and such. Actually, happened to be looking at the Flames of the Inquisition pre-order pack and thinking: "which of those would I want to wield". LOL. Anyways, I'm not really sure yet, tbh.

Only had one warrior playthrough so far, and it was a dwarf so I was pretty much obligated to use a two-hander.

I choose to dual wield, if DA:I allows it. Dual wielding as a warrior in DA:O was always my preferred method of slaughter, which is why I was disappointed when I realized that DAII restricted dual wielding to rogues, and only daggers.

As a Warrior, I always roll Sword and Shield like a true knight!

I also felt like restricting dual wielding to rogues in DA:II was a good idea, from a character niche perspective. I always felt like there was way too much crossover with Warriors and Rogues in terms of weapon styles, and I was always disappointed that Rogues really got shafted in terms of class specializations that actually benefitted archers (Ranger and Bard were the only two, and ranger is questionably useful). Restricting dual wielding and archery to rogues gave them a niche and really separated them distinctly from Warriors, whose only two unique combat tracks in DA:O were the Warrior, Two Handed, and Sword 'n' Board tracks to begin with. If I wanted to dual wield or do archery, most of the time I'd roll a Rogue so I could access those bloody starting area chests and doors, even though it meant I missed out on Champion and Templar, which are arguably two of the best specs for Archers. Assassin, Duelist, and Bard all work really well for dual wielders, however, so a dual wielding rogue works perfectly.
But I digress. I've never been a huge fan of dual wielding.

Dual wielding. If not then I guess sword and board.

In Origins my first go was dual wielding. Second was 2H, third was Sword and board. My favorite was probably dual wielding.

If you zoom in on the pommel you'll see its just rusted or tarnished copper. Sorry to sour your milk.

I prefer 2h in DAO (especially DAA), but like them both in DA2. No clue what to do in DAI.

Sword and Shield for both human/elf warrior during DA:O and DA:2
if I played as a dwarf noble it was 2H
in DA:I will most likely go the same as the last two games did for me

I like 2 handed warriors in DA:O and DA2. While I do love DW warriors in my MMOs, I didn't like it in Origins because it was the same tree as the rogues, if in DA:I they make a legit DW warrior skill tree, I'll be making one of those first without a doubt.
