In Origins, because of the absolutely dreadful running animation (in combat) I usually stuck with one handed weapons. Yes, I thought the run was that bad.

Liking the new Two-handed stance and animation though. I think in Inquisition I might use a Battleaxe. It depends on how they look and where the fit in with regards to performance. The only battleaxe we've seen so far is that one in the first Gameplay trailer. Looks pretty cool IMO. I'll see if I can dig up a screenshot.

Here we go, not too bad. I wouldn't mind doing the Iron Bull Challenge with that axe.

I choose to dual wield, if DA:I allows it. Dual wielding as a warrior in DA:O was always my preferred method of slaughter, which is why I was disappointed when I realized that DAII restricted dual wielding to rogues, and only daggers.

Amen to that. My dual-axe wielding Aeducan was a Darkspawn Cuisinart.

In Origins I went with the sword-and-board combo.

In DA:I I'd probably go with two handers.

I want to say sword and shield since I doubt there will be dual wielding for warriors. But I wouldn't mind giving two handed a playthrough. I enjoyed it in DA2. But DAO I felt that the sword and shield had a better balance of offense and defense. I'm hoping we can be more offensive.

Still would not mind playing a two handed elf warrior. As long as its better then Bound By Flames animation. Good lord that was slow.

You should try a 2 hander in Dark Souls. You can speed it up with crafting if you want. There is a very fast 2 hander in the game, but not very good interrupt. I used an axe myself.

My first warrior always wields a two handed greatsword but I will probably play a sword and shield warrior too at some point.

DUAL AXES, BABY!

In case there are still weapon restrictions, I'll go for a two hander though. Also, I'm hoping they make some separate animations for axes/maces/mauls, because seeing your character stabbing with those things is a bit immersion breaking :D

I've only ever played as a two-handed warrior, because sword and shield seems more meant for tanking, and I don't like tanking. I like damaging.  :D

I never played using a sword and shield. I might in DAI

In DAO I used 2 handed, bow and arrow and 2 one handed swords

In DA2 I used 2 handed and hated that slide crap move. Hopefully its not in DAI.

Origins- Weapon and Shield. Two Handed was way too slow and clumsy to really be played viably (plus boring). I leave dual wielding to the rogues and archery in Origins (sans Awakening) sucks to begin with whether warrior archer or rogue archer.

DA2- I'll go 50/50. Weapon and Shield had those cool crashing sounds when the shield hit the enemy plus smacking them with Shield Bash and watching them fly was fun. Two Handed however was very viable in DA2, the swings were fast and you actually felt like you hit the enemy. Takes leveling to really make them powerful though.

By principle I like Weapon and Shield better because I like a more defensive playstyle. It will be the first style I will choose when I go warrior in Inquisition.

I prefer to play two handed warriors as I'm just not a fan of tanking. A two handed axe is my personal favorite. My dwarven princess looked so cute with her giant axe dragging on the ground. <3
