Writers having a deadline? Other things needed to be taken care of before finalizing romances? Didn't record dialogue for f/f? Maybe it was almost finished but had to be cut to reach deadline, like that darkside redemption Carth thing...

Multiple reasons, maybe, romances aren't a focus, although it seems like they are sometimes, if BioWare didn't tease about what romances there are, things wouldn't be so explosive like it has been.

The reason there is so many is because they were kind of expected with Liara being in ME and DA:O to many people, and people kept talking about possible romances for months, but when such people find out the truth, its a bummer for them, BW should have spilled the beans earlier imo, look how huge the love threads are, people obviously care. Care too much, but that's just my opinion and in no way should be seen as the majority opinion...

I have to agree here. BioWare has a history of same-sex romances, they’ve showed us love interest after love interest, and people assumed that with so many available, some would be bisexual. If this wasn’t the case, then they should have told us this long ago when there were fewer posters and people were less stirred up and frantic because of the coming release.

ok.. would it help if there was a LOVE in the title? I'm no fanatic and don't do samesex romances in games, but I do sympathize with those who wanted it.

Why are people so bothered about homosexual romances anyway? Is it really that important? Are you playing the game as a dating sim? I don't get it.
Actually screw it, why are people so bothered about romances in general?  EDIT: (Ermm, in the game, I mean. Real-life romances are a thing apart!

I'm a dreamer, but I believe there will be bi characters, probably aliens that Bioware says aren't female (asari I'm looking at you! you've got woman bits but apparently not female ones) or aren't male (Thane). If there aren't I'll be upset. It does seem easier for bioware to say nothing or tell all instead of the semantic fooling.

And straight people, don't worry about it.  You don't have to understand it, you can't understand it, none of your analogies work.  You've not been gay (that thing in college didn't count).  Just accept it is important to others and have that be enough.  And maybe show some support or talk about something important to you.

Seriously, I'd be all for the inclusion of G/B/L romances, but I doubt you're going to get a satisfactory answer for why it's looking like there aren't any in ME2.
