I think we are over-obsessing about an inherently MINOR detail in the game. This isnt about who Shepard does and doesnt sleep with, its about Humanity facing an impending danger that the Galaxy would rather turn a blind eye towards.

Listen up Forums, we have our orders, pre-order Mass Effect 2 and save humanity.
We all know what happened in the Trailers, we saw the destruction of human settlements across the galaxy. We saw the bodies, we saw the Collectors and what they are capable of. And we need to make them pay.
For too long our species has been divided my insignificant differences, and that comes to an end now if we expect to see another day. Its time we stepped up and showed the other citadel races what the Humans are made of
Our enemy thinks they can do anything they want to us. But they dont know we're getting ready for them.
This is the most important game that anyone of us has ever played on.
The fate of an entire fictional galaxy is at stake. We stopped Saren and we WILL stop this new threat no matter what the cost!
Think of all the things sacrificed in the last game for us to be at this point. We cant fail.

Well then, I guess they need to take out the straight romances if the mission is our priority then.

come now, let's not jerk our knees so hard we can't acknowledge an awesome post when we see one.

Obviously, we’re not being heard or they would’ve had f/f or m/m in it.  Posted Image  And there’s MANY topics about all the straight romances… Great goddess, I get tired of seeing those all the time...   Posted Image

All of those threads are annoying, just like the "WHY NO GAY ROMANCE" threads that keep popping up every 5 seconds.

Have to agree with this. From what I've seen so far, quite a few in this thread dismiss any response that tries to remind them of the original reason they decided to order the game, or even make a point of saying "Hey look, it's a story just like any other...some have girl on girl relationships in them and some don't. Some tell you to have sex with poultry instead! But that's O-K too".

Thing is, having an opinion is fine. The one place this falls down however, is in a majority of the replies I see in this thread. Instead of deciding to pick up on the friendly counter-arguments, all I see quoted are the obvious attempts at trolling, followed by a retort that's equally as childish and petty.

And then there are the knee-jerk reactions.

Perhaps I should go start a thread on the theme of feminism in Bayonetta. Maybe it'll distract people from this topic.

I'm late to the party, but after watching that video, if she did have a "bi" experience, it sounds like it wasn't really by choice, or it was her "hey why not" personality and maybe in the end didn't like it.

After you locate the Prothean (or Collector if you wish since they are
now Reaper controlled) base within a black hole in the center of the
galaxy where they have taken all the humans from the colonies (and your
crew after the attack on the second Normandy) and you use the Omega 4
Mass Relay to reach the base. And after you discover they were using
the captured humans to build a human Reaper and you destroy it and blow
up the base leaving Miranda and a team mate of your choice behind (the
one who you send to the ventilation system dies), you get the ending
with you escaping back to known space and you have this huge army of
hostile Geth ships.

Spoiler spam. Assuming you read it, chances are you now have a better reason not to buy the game

:?

*Edited for snippage. Apologies for not thinking of doing so sooner.

SPOILERS IN THIS POST

...A three-way doesn't make you bi. At all. And that's what is implied by 'they helped me into their bed.'

It's called expirimentation. I'm sure all the lesbians would be much more upset if Suze was available only as a sex option but wanted nothing more from them at all.

This is getting out of hand... on both sides.

Yes these threads are getting annoying, but that doesn't mean everyone can start callling each other names as they please. This is no different than what those Tali and Garrus Romance topics that sprang up every few days were ever since ME1 was released. They're just fans like us making requests for what they want in the game. There's nothing wrong with that. And yet everyone is crying "agenda" or something.

As for the (real) discussion, Jack did imply she has had girlfriends before. Interesting there's no F/F option with her.

I have nearly no issue if Suze had a girlfriend and experienced the lesbian thing before but now don`t want to. This would be even better if this topic would came up with a FemShep. I can imagine a scene where a player tries to flirt with Suze but she say "Thanks but no thanks, I have enough of woman" or something like that.

And to the whole topic of dating sims:
It`s an RPG and this genre is made for depth and that includes romances. If I want to play a dull game, in a genre that doesn`t develope over the last 2 decades, I gonna play a shooter. I play Mass Effect for the dialouges, for the romances, for the action, for the story and not for one of these things alone.

Most people that play this game tend to immerse themselves in the character. Romance is not the main plot of the game but I'm sure most are happy that they get to save the galaxy along with a straight partner on their side. The fans that are emotionally invested in this game, who also happen to be gay/les/bi would just like to have the option to romance someone they would be attracted to in real life as well.

You said it so hard.
