- Action set a lot of years after Shepard's trilogy. Same cycle. ( i.e. the races will mostly be the same ). No one's heard of the reapers in ages and most think they're fairy tales ( Destroy/Control. Synthesis is cancer and needs to go away ).

Why? This makes the mess that ME3's ending was ( and I am an IT fan at that ) irrelevant, because the ending won't matter.

- Origin story: being able to choose from a number of races ( most likely Asari, Human, Turian, Krogan ).

- All races end up in the same spot plot wise ( most likely an organization unsanctioned by the Council- like Cerberus was, be it mercenaries or else ).

- The seemingly unimportant organization is caught in a massive shitfest that threatens to destabilize the galaxy. ( most likely AIs being built again and threatening to rebel ).

- The seemingly unimportant main character ends up saving the galaxy.

- Little to no reference towards the Trilogy. Imported saves will most likely result in easter eggs.

Let's see how many I get right.

Prove me wrong, Bioware.

You can rule out imported saves, I'm afraid. The next gen platforms cannot accept their predecessors format.

Which is why PC master race.

They will most likely use a Dragon Age Keep- similar option, in that case.

Synthesis is not cancer.

You're right. At least you can cure cancer.

The PC with an Xbox controller. My arthritis and bad wrists will not allow extensive use of a mouse. Maybe they will implement some form of trickery for the saves.

And I also agree about the cancerous Synthesis. If Shepard didn't die, I hunt him down and kill him myself for making me part machine. It's the worst outcome for a cannon aspect.

It's going to be a prequel, a bunch of people will get upset.

or

It's going to be a sequel, a bunch of people will get upset.

Why would they be upset about a sequel?

Also a prequel would be suicide. No one wants a First Contact War, we all know how it ends.

Same goes with a different cycle.

Hey, this time I agree.

I really hope it's not a prequel.

Does anybody even want it to be a pequel? Because that is clearly the worst idea in the history of everything.

It isn't.

EA might be little shits when it comes to quality, but they know how to sell stuff.

And a prequel wouldn't sell.

Not that's a worth arrangement of letters. Gears of War, God of War and Arkham Origins are a statement to that.

I don't want a prequel.

I don't want a sequel either.

Or a sidequel.

I want a complete tabula rasa

In another Galaxy.

At least we know for certain what they look like.

I all fairness, none of those games were as good as the games that came before them (especially Gears)

I agree and disagree with y’all OP.

First the endings will be dealt with in the same way as the first two, so only existed in dialog, background information, and maybe a mission/cameo. Pretty sure Synthesis will be in it but will just amount to people glowing.

My bet is that the next game will be 10 to 20 years afterwards, enough time to for people to rebuild but still have cameos.

Races I see it being like DA:I is seeming  to be, everyone starting at the same point and non-playable backgrounds. With the four council races being playable and the Geth, Krogan, and Quarians being unlocked if they lived passed ME3

I doubt they will go with the saving the galaxy plot. Probably will be more likely that you are having to hunt someone down, like Saren but without the reapers.

In terms of reference towards the Trilogy, I’m betting on cameos  and the fate of the rachni, geth, Krogan, and quarians carrying over. But people like Conrad Verner, The Patriarch will be nowhere to be seen.

But if you were part machine, they could just swap in some better-functioning wrists.
