Theory, pregnant biotics can give birth to biotic children, thanks to their eezo nodes.

Biotics are caused by exposure to element zero in the womb, and biotics have element zero nodes in their body. So is it possible that a biotic's own eezo nodes could expose the developing fetus to eezo, and would cause that fetus to eventually become another human biotic? We typically think biotic humans can only happen through accidents or something, or by hanging out near a drive core too long while pregnant (probably how a biotic spacer Shepard got eezo exposure, Hannah Shepard spent too much time in the drive core of her Alliance ships)... But really, any source of eezo at all could do it, including the eezo inside the mothers body. So it's possible, if unlikely, that a human biotic could give birth to a biotic child even though they didn't get within a hundred yards of any element zero sources.

In short, if female Shepard hooks up with Kaidan, she could have a biotic kid simply by being a biotic herself. I actually bet that this is how Asari who don't live on Thessia (which has a ton of eezo on it) still have all of their children having biotic abilities even though they're not near eezo during the pregnancy. Asari have so much built-in eezo in them that their children get exposed to it in the womb no matter what, simply developing inside an Asari will expose you to quite a large sum of the stuff.

You got to admit, this would explain a great deal of things. One bad thing though... It also means biotic non-Asari mothers have a much higher chance of their baby being born with fatal tumors, or possibly not even making it that far. So that's the tragic side of this theory.

I wonder if a biotic fetus can accidentally cast warp and disintegrate their mother from the inside out.

Impossible. Biotics take a number of years to manifest. The eezo nodes need years to get big enough and condensed enough to become usable for biotics. For that matter, every species except Asari need amplifiers for their biotics to even be strong enough to actually do any real damage. And even Asari have never had cases of that happening, and they're the only ones who are all biotics and the ones who's children develop their biotics sooner after birth than any other race and are the only ones who's biotics are strong enough to do damage without amplifiers. So if it hasn't happened to soon-to-be Asari mothers, it's not something to worry about.

.

Or just randomly drop a singularity here and there to keep the mother on her toes.

Thanks, bro. That was keeping me awake at night.

Perhaps in a few generations, even non-asari biotics won't need amps to use their powers.

Warp and Shockwave on the mom's hoo-hoo, sounds like a party!

There. I fixed it.

Only in synthesis it might be possible. Before synthesis I don't see how. They're huskified and corrupt, although we were never specifically told if they "work" in that sense. Ew.

Anyway, I came into this thread because I read "eezo noodles". I needed to get that out of my system

That's just...wrong D:

BTW, I've always wondered what happens to all the Reaper creatures in Control or Synthesis endings....are they supposed to..what? Integrate normally in the society and look for a job? Or hide in a cave in the most remote planet possible forever?

That if they cannot be "restored" to what they once were...if they can even be restored. Which I seriously doubt.

I don't know, but if that would be the case then most of the population would be Biotic eventualy. Some by birth, some by exposure.

You know what? I'd have liked if the lore allowed someone to just "become" biotic at will. Say, like being implanted minispheres of eezo thought your spinal cord (and making ME's medical technology to allow to do that without any harm to the user).

It'd also explain why the heck there are so many non-asari biotics out there, if they're all the result of accidental exposure. Or maybe having eezo-involved accidents is a common hobby in 218x.

Don't add space magic to the space magic, man.

Also, how this thread has derailed without brain haemorraghing fetuses is beyond me.

Not much more space magic is added than by getting/buying a magic wand and being able to spit fire and ice with it. Oh wait, why does it rings a bell..?

I just don't get why biotics are considered "space magic" while tech powers are toooootally normal out there :D

People, keep on topic and keep the stupid posts and the spam posts of images out of here. I don't want my thread derailed by idiots who only want to post stupid pictures. Or does a moderator need to come in here and start dropping ban hammers and deleting the spam?

How can you still be new to the internet after almost 3500 posts?

I do wonder if Miranda was granted her biotics through this method when she was still a fetus in her creation tank.

I'm not new to either that or this site. But I also know that not even a site like Gamefaqs is as bad as this place is at just totally derailing threads. Gamefaqs is better! Hell, I've seen threads on 4chan do better at not derailing than some threads here on the BSN. Let that sink in. Which is why I mentioned mods, sometimes that's the only way to get people on this site to stop acting like 8 year olds who just discovered they can post funny pictures for the first time.
