My Hawke is a male mage, side with mage in all decisions, but why the topic suddenly goes from being the leader of uprising mages into kissing? Anders's soft voice becomes so appalling after that.
Is Anders turn into romance a bit too easily for male Hawke?

No faster than any other of the relationships in either gender. Remember, just because there's a heart icon, it doesnt mean you need to push it. ![]()

Also Anders is a hopeless romantic. He talks about love a lot and I think he is more interested in Hawke not a simple bang.

More like creepy romantic. Who the hell asks the move in on the first date?

Someone living in a sewer, I suspect.
Fair enough.
I think I met someone like that actually. But no romance. Just went from the gutter to "Can I move in?" ![]()

Actually Anders is the only character that has dialog where you can only choose to flirt or broken heart. I think he loses friendship points if you choose the latter.

I imagine Anders showed lots of restraint in the way he'd ask Hawke to move in. It wouldn't really come off all that well if he said:
Hawke...I need to get out of here. It's dark and it's cold and there are odors wafting through this filthy labyrinth that could keep the Maker from returning. Please...I can sleep on the floor. Anything. Anything to get away from all this.

What are you talking about? That would have actually worked on me. I pity the bastard who deals with foul odors.
Just the romantic angle makes it far more pathetic.

I dunno, I'd be more inclined to leave him there for being so needy, but then, I'm not very nice.

I'm nice. ... sometimes.
But I guess I'm a terrible romantic. Not so nice there? I almost went crazy in the doctor's office the other day, listening to nonstop love songs on muzak.

I guess I can be nice, by throwing him a couple sovereigns, telling him to go out and buy some nice Mundane™ clothes and find a real job, maybe use the change left over to stock up on hensbane and leeches and open up a private practice.

The Anders romance seems a lot like that of Codex and Zabu (the Guild). A few dialogues online and he was all ready to move in and take over her life.
Creepy, fugly stalker doesn't appeal to me one bit. At least Zabu had cute going for him, Anders doesn't even have that.

That dialogue in not mandatory, if you select "don't do it again" in the first choice, you will get neither friendship nor rivalry points.

Anders only flirts with Hawke if he/she flirts first or takes the diplomatic response about what happened with him and Justice.
Tip: take the humorous or aggressive response instead. No flirting from Anders, just pissy whining.

I do enjoy the irony of a character that constantly deflected with humor being unable to handle humor tossed back. That Justice really is the death of the party.

"I never want you to leave."
"Do you mean that? Would you have me here... living with you?"
"Uhhh.... ...Sorry, you just weren't that good."
And there's no middle-ground. Same with Merrill except Hawke is the one who suggests her moving in.

Considering by that point that it's been over a year since the two have been together, is that really that huge of a leap in logic?

Don't really get this astonishment. Everyone in this game is very easy to romance.. Surprisingly enough, Isabella I found to be one of the hardest.

No, they were never "together" until that night. Where do you get this "over a year" crap?

It depends on how you define romance. If you just want to bed her then she's the easiest. To get her to love Hawke she's probably hardest after Fenris because he requires strict chastity after dumping you. It's not surprising to me that Isabela would be difficult to get to love you. She clearly has emotional issues.

My straight Hawke has officially romanced Merrill and I still feel as if Anders is still trying to make a move on me, I feel like it's impossible just to be friends with this guy. Speaking of friendship however, in truth I find him relatively annoying and an extremist, I wish he'd take a moment to step back and reflect upon a lot of his actions.

My Hawke romanced Fenris and Anders still couldn't get over the bit of flirting my Hawke did with him years ago. Even outright started talking crap about Fenris and my choice to be with him. With Anders you're either with him or against him, and yeah he needed to reflect on his life.

And it's also easy to lose her from the party entirely. I do enjoy that Isabela is actually pickier than some may assume.
