I am sure I won't get an official answer from Bioware. But, I wonder how long will xbox have before the rest of the community can receive the content. A day, a week, a month or a year? Is this context story DLC or just item pack DLC?

I know skyrim had problems with its DLC release schedule orginally supposed to be one month exclusivity period and then they had problems transfering the final DLC to the PS3 causing a delay even in the PC market. According to the offical explaination from Bethesda at the time.

Personally I am very unhappy with this plan and as PC player with no corporate backing to bribe EA I know it can be a very long time for me to see any DLC for this game depending on how much money Microsoft gave EA.

Yeah, I am not a fan of it, either. I wouldn't be that excited about it even if I was gonna get the game for the Xbox, I generally think that DLCs should have crossplatform released for all and not this genital move.

Who is actually benefiting from these deals? To actively restrict your fan base from playing parts your game is just ridiculous and I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from bioware. You are my favourite developer, please do no not let console politics taint your products, if your series is multiplatform then every paying customer should be treated equally in my opinion.

MS is trying to get people who want DA:I to want what is honestly going to be the inferior version more by sweetening the pot.

I've been saying this a lot but here we go again. EA owns Bioware and EA is a MS partner which probably has obligations. Not really Biowares fault.Taking this out on Bioware would be misplaced.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Microsoft release DLC for both the xbox and PC at the same time? I thought games that had time exclusives with Microsoft had their DLC released on xbox and PC at the same time.

edit: Still not a fan of the practice.

I hate Microsoft. It shouldn't be allowed, and as a PS4 owner i will be pretty pissed of with Bioware for this.

Microsoft has nothing to do with the PC platform outside of the Windows OS.

To the OP, I imagine it'll be a similar practice to what we've seen with Call of Duty. Arrives first on Xbox. A month later on Playstation and PC.

EA is the publisher. Go be mad at them.

Sony will do the same later. Just not for DA:I

If I recall they have exclusive content for Destiny and Arkham Knight probably other stuff too.

Yeah, but doesn't Microsoft's exclusive include Windows PC and Xbox systems?

I just hate the whole concept of it. Whether it favours me or not, there is most likely more people who have to wait for something that should be available to all at the same time. Its not going to really get people to even buy the Xbox one

Guess I won't be selling my Xbox copy now. :-)

I did the same thing with Skyrim because of this- both platforms covered. My wife was so jelly watching me play Skyrim dlc before her on 360. Heehee.

As long as they don't do it with actual games I'm ok with it. If I'm still interested in the game after a month , then it's something new to do. If I'm not, then I won't care by then.

It's kind of funny with CoD because it just splits the userbase that much eariler and has no real benifits.

While I'm glad I'm on the XBONE, I hope this doesn't cause problems like PS3 had with Skyrim DLC. Those people got shafted.

Right now my thought is I rather deal with this "you get the DLC first" instead of how they used to do it with making entire games exclusive to the console with no hope of cross-platform.  I am not that pleased with the exclusive content now, but its the console makers trying to get people interested in buying their console over the other one and like it was said before Sony will be doing the same trick with some games during their press conference.

Are you on Xbox One?

The trailer specifically says the content will first premier on Xbox One. If you're on 360, it may not be the case.

Exclusive means everything. Dragonborn came out ~ 1-1.5 years post Skyrim was still Xbox exclusive.

I'd much rather deal with 'You get DLC first' then 'ONLY you get this DLC'. :<

It really isn't fair.

You realize that pretty much every company does this right? Sony did the same thing with watch dogs and every assassin's creed since 2.
