I wasn't ripping on his character development, merely stating that most of it was in DA2 in optional dialogue.  FWIW, I'm glad that fans of Cullen have him in a bigger role in DA:I.  I was lucky and Varric is coming back, so I got what I wanted.   ;)

Oh, yah, I was just backing up your point, not countering it :)

I wonder what Cullen is doing with Morrigan.. I'd imagine those two won't get along well XD

Don't know who the hell that is, but if I have to put him to the sword to get that cool helmet, I'm totally doing it.

My bad.

I appreciate the thought, but I'm certainly not a "bro." ;)

Hey, I'm an equal opportunity bro caller. ^_^

This one? but i think it's a lion mask

I think the real issue here isn't the guy in the mask but who let Morrigan buy all the Hello Kitty stuff? Was the portal from Witch Hunt an entrance to a Hot Topic?

Don't think it's Cullen. Feraldens don't wear Orlasian masks ... that looks like one.

The developers disagree, since they confirmed it was Cullen.

Orlesian masks are actually closer to what is worn on Mardis Gras- ornate half masks; this is clearly a full helm.

If Cullen is wearing livery of the Imperial Court, then possibly he's been assigned as a "companion" (or babysitter) to Morrigan -- a Templar watching over a Mage.

I don't think he is affiliated with with the Templar's anymore as there is no Templar symbol on his armor. Also it's a helm, not a mask.

There is probably a really simple reason for him wearing it. As discussed in other threads, the idea was tossed around that the lion is the symbol of the military pillar which we all know he is the adviser of.

Also, maybe there is some reason as to why he has to keep his identity hidden out in the held as to why he is wearing a full helm  :)

Though I would like to know what brought him and Morrigan together for a time.

All this got me thinking...What if that's not really Morrigan but a decoy? (Something similar to what Loghain did in the Stolen throne)

But if it is Morrigan then she really needs a wardrobe change. Its been 10 years.

It's actually her sister, Morgana. She can turn into animals, too, but only bunnies and nugs.

Still, I think that's what's happening. It may be the Inquisition's plan to flush out someone related to Morrigan (The Warden or Flemeth or Morrigan herself).

The more I look at it , the more I think its Scribe Girl in a costume.

Scribe Girl has darker skin compared to Morrigan though.

I don't think it's scribe girl, but makeup *does* exist in Thedas, and with Orlais being based on France, they had the habit of pigmenting their skin paler to imply purity and distinguish from the lower classes. (Pretty much powdering their skin) So, it's not ridiculous.

So here's the obvious question, why is Cullen in a Lion mask standing on a rock next to Morrigan?

That is the real question, also what made Morrigan go back to her old Witch of the Wilds outfit

If you look closely at the background, you can see a group of soldiers marching. Cullen's leading the Inquisition's forces in an attack of some kind.

As for the lion helmet ... it looks cool. Isn't that reason enough?
