How do you actually get emotionally invested through all the spoilers, though?depends on the game
if the game requires me to get emotionally invested? Yeeep.
my pre requisites are 1: NG+ if there is character progression and 2: a satisfying (to me) ending. Thus yes. While trying to minimize the spoilers in general I will spoil the ending to make sure it suits my tastes and conveys to multiple playthroughs otherwise I am not wasting the $$$
Mass Effect "4" - sequel (indirectly) confirmed by Casey Hudson.

Because you know what's going to happen, so you have the security of knowing nothing bad is around the corner.
I think it's a ridiculous premise to apply to the enjoyment of fiction, but I "get it".

I only spoil the last few minutes generally so....

it is not when I, or better my character is part of that fiction.

For what it's worth, if I watched the ending of ME 3 before playing the game I'd be completely lost. I probably wouldn't even be able to formulate an opinion on watching the ending honestly as I'd have no idea how relevant or irrelevant the final scene is.

it is much simpler than that
"the developers force your character to die in all ending, minus one in which he might live, or not, use your imagination (trololololol)"
uh....yeah, knowing that the context of the rest is irrelevant to me.

You're only partially included in this story, though. Shepard was always BioWare's character, with marginal input from the character.

That should answer a few questions about the next game.
Ok Ill be the one to say it...
This looks like the most generic, boring halo-codish scifi piece of armor I've seen.

You'll be the only one to say it......because it looks nothing like Halo.

It "feels like a weird crossover. I've seen this armor for the first time, yet it feels like I've seen it a thousand. I liked the unique "future medieval" theme ME had going for it.You'll be the only one to say it......because it looks nothing like Halo.

It might look a bit like the EVA from Halo, but where are you getting COD from?

One thing for sure is that there's no way that armor is pre-ME1.
What are you basing that on? Just because it looks more advanced?
If so I wouldn't read too much into that. They are switching engines and looking to leverage the graphic capabilities so I would expect changes to all character models, weapons, landscapes regardless of the technology level.

This, on the other hand, looks pretty sexy.

There's no telling what's going on with that N7 armor. It's bulkier, but it has some unique design elements. Extra environmental protection for exploration, maybe?

This armor looks like something you'd probably see post ME 3.

How Mass Effect was "future medieval"? The only armor that looked like it was based on ancient designs was Javik's.

I mean... you can only make body armor look so different. That said, I don't see it. Sorry.

It's the same armor...
I think it looks nice. And I enjoy that they are going for something different.

There are elements that are the same, but the N7 one is bulkier. Maybe an idea is that the game begins with out character lost in space with older tech and we eventually make or way back to civilization and get new toys.

It's not the same armor (look at the material, the bulk, the area underneath the helmet, and other things), but there are a few aesthetic similarities between the two.

There are a few differences indeed, but they are very similar.
Anyway, it certainly doesn't feel less advance than what we had in the Mass Effect games, no way. It's the other way around.

The only thing I can say for sure about the armor is that it's male.
It's not flashing enough cleavage to be a female N7

^ This. While the starting N7 from ME2 curved around a femShep's chest, (as did the armor from ME1,) the heavy armor that you get not too much later averts this entirely. None of them showed any skin, thankfully.
Cerebus, on the other hand, seems to have outfits and uniforms laying around that do have a lot of cleavage showing. <looks at Miranda and Brooks>

not according to how they marketed it to us, for starters, and secondly, still my choices (inconsequential as they may be) still my preferences in interactions and relationships....thus still my character. That removal of control at the and their imposing a fate they think appropriate "because art" I cannot tolerate nor I will waste my money on in the future so my original question to them stands and so does my overall policy when it comes to ME4.You're only partially included in this story, though.
