Oh boy

That's what some fans did when a show people in my country liked had things happen most people didn't like and as a result they changed things quickly.

The customer is always right. I went to a restaurant once and the waiter gave me the wrong drink and took over an hour and a half to bring me my meal despite me asking about what was taking so long repeatedly and the food was undercooked.

Man, why does the BSN always default to food comparisons?

I think people are typing on their laptops in a restaurant.

Simple people like good food. Example I love Italian food.

Not really enough in the video to come to any conclusions.

I'm interested, but not excited. Time will tell I suppose.

So sophisticated people don't like good food?

I love food too, believe me, but not as an inaccurate comparison to the development time, licensing agreements, and unspecific audience of a video game.

Lets just agree to disagree.

Pretty sure he meant, "Simple: people like good food."

You know, with synthesis, perhaps that's not even a helmet?

It's a helmet, it's designed to protect your organic face from space radiation, space gas and space bullets.

I didn't say that.

You felt the need to point out "Simple people likes good food.." my question is a question of omission.

I was thinking of when the fans disagree with each other and want BioWare to do mutually exclusive things.

The ones that got what they wanted are happy and don't complain about it. The ones that didn't complain that it's biowares worst mistake and are more vocal.

What ends up happening is that fans are not game designers and don't know what they want, so they influence the design process in unpredictable ways. Often the results are unpleasant.

Well I can't speak for others but I know what I want in regards to Mass Effect 4 and I done a game developer course in my local college a few years ago.

Step 1: Come up with a good premise for a story.

Step 2: Populate the world with characters and figure out which ones need character arcs.

Step 3: Write a good story with a branching narrative.

Step 4: Write your endings for each narrative.

Step 5: While multiple endings is fun for replayability, they are not fun for writing sequels. Make sure that the players understand that only one of the endings will be canon for the series, and only minor choices will get carried forward (i.e. stuff like Conrad, your LI, and things like that)

That will avoid charlie foxtrots in story lines where essential characters die in some peoples' games and not in others.

I'll get excited about "ME4" in November.  To use an analogy - I'm not buying the stone un-thrown.  I'm waiting to see how high the splash goes.  Then maybe it'll be worth the price.

Maybe.

I have very little faith in it, the hype or the promises.  We've heard it before and we know how well they keep them.

November, Bioware.  I'll believe you then.

Or not.

Hopefully they don't do sequels any more. Just make each Mass Effect game a stand-alone, self-contained story.

Food is a popular subject because its probably the most common thing to complain about that everyone can relate to. Some people hate their job, not everyone hates their job. Some people don't like their new car, not everyone can afford a new car, or a car at all. Some people hate a games ending so bad it leaves them jaded and cynical for several years afterwards... Not many people played that game in the grand scheme of things.

Rich or poor your probably going to eat out at least once in your life, and even if the price and accompanying expectations are different there are still plenty of ways for restaurateurs to get on your nerves

I just can't believe people are actually talking about freakin' food over dissecting every little bit of the video, as they should be doing.

I believe that with each post, I think of this forum a bit more like if it was Mordor.

Shepherd wasn't the only N7, boys and girls.

So, the character will be very much like Shepard but not Shepard?

This is still at the conceptual stage so it might as well be N7 armor that you get without actual belonging to the Alliance, a beautifully render placeholder or a very early potential companion.

They got themselves in an interesting position with the N7 thing, its associated with Shepard and they pretty much made it the logo for Mass Effect. So how do you create something non military and non Shepard and still keep the N7 logo? I imagine they are putting a lot of thought into that...

Ehh maybe in the future N7 is just like Armali Council or Armax Arsenal now and its just painted on everything they make.
