Says me. It isn't going to be a reboot. They're moving forward, not backward.

And since you're no BioWare employee or any form of authority here it basically just comes down to your opinion or gut feeling. You don't know more than the rest of us.

And rebooting the series IS exactly moving forward. It's moving forward TRULY. Making a sequel is not really moving forward because we'd still be dealing with the same universe that got turned to **** with ME2 and ME3.

Don't mistake "reboot" for "remake". I'm talking about reboot like how Tomb Raider got rebooted in 2013.

Rebooting Mass Effect is the only way BioWare could salvage this IP.

They don't need to 'salvage' anything. The next Mass Effect will sell just fine.

Mass Effect 2 was good. Mass Effect 3 is where things went downhill. Reboot that game with a different ending and the series can be salvaged.

A great deal of ME3s problems stem directly from ME2.

Too early for a reboot trilogy isn't even 10 years old.

Hah, I just started watching the E3 video, but forgot to pause my YT playlist, for a second I was utterly confused why Star trek TOS intro started playing.

Arent they rebooting Transformers with a new film trilogy. The third 'film' and I use that term loosely in the original Transformers trilogy only came out in 2011.

I don't think so. What problems in ME3 stem from ME2?

NO. With ME2 everything started going downhill.

That's Shepard. I'm pretty sure. I mean, it could be.... James.

Or I guess a 'NEW' "character" right.... With a Big N7 logo on his armor...... Gee, yeah.

That doesn't sound familiar.. AT ALL.

Also, I love all the Shepard stuff while Hudson and pals talked. In the background and stuff. And the trailer opens up with a Shepard action figure.....

Guys...... That is Shepard.

And this is post destroy..... It was a crucible- A SEVERE Battle of WILLS and BELIEFS.

The "Crucible" was a trojan horse and resource waster.

You were suppose to pick control or synthesis. You WERE suppose to refuse. You WERE suppose to stay asleep.

But you didn't.....

Rise.

N7 FTW!!!!

Oh and for some interesting speculation about the actual contents.

I wonder if the roaring krogan means the lucky players get a chance to hear untranslated alien languages, or just see feral krogan.

I don't think so. What problems in ME3 stem from ME2?

The fact ME2 had no plot, it didn't move the overall story forward, it added a lot of needlessly complex and trivial new plot points that never got fully explained or properly dealt with and the ending of ME2 was perhaps even more horrible than the ending of ME3.

In short, Mass Effect 2's "plot" was all over the place and it didn't progress the main story at all.

Which left BioWare with one last game (ME3) to fix all that mess that they left with ME2 and salvage the plot. Of course BioWare failed to do so. Their "clever" solutions felt staged and forced, like how Shepard conveniently finds a solution to the reapers at the beginning of ME3 because he didn't find anything in ME2 and how we get a random kid giving us some background on the reapers and their motives because we didn't get any of that in ME2.

That isn't possible. ME2 is the greatest game ver made.

I'm pretty sure the guy in the N7 armor is just the new player character in ME4.

BioWare isn't going to implement your stupid indoctrination theory into their franchise friend, that would only make ME even worse. Just accept it and move on man. BioWare says they're moving forward, you should too.

I think the name needs some work...

I know what it means. It is also generally used when someone corrects a sentence, at least here in America. Don't know where you are from.

So use it when you correct sentences, not when you make them wrong.

No, I think he used the word correctly there. Just because you don't agree with his sentiment doesn't mean he committed a grammatical error.

EDIT- nvm, he beat me to it.

Yeah, third person cover shooter that lacks basic features of the genre like moving from cover to cover, rolling and blindfire and has A.I straight of the 90s is "greatest game ever made". Not to mention the underwhelming "choose your cutscene" non-choices and being a sequel to ME1 in name only.

ME2 makes zero progress. At the end of ME2, you are literally in the same place as you were at the end of ME1. 'on your way to look for a way to stop the Reapers'. While ME2 is a great individual game, it is the biggest detriment to the overarching narrative of the trilogy.

It left everything regarding the Reapers to be discovered and resolved in a single game, while they squandered the entire middle installment telling a tale of a squad of comic book characters with mommy/

daddy issues in a suicide mission to take out a single base.

I thought we could play as different races in the new ME. If we are N7 again, are we locked into being humans?
