I don't know if I'm overreacting, but that announcment about timed exclusive DLC made me extremely disappointed in Bioware despite my love for the series and the great footage at the conference.

 

I thought that after the Skyrim mess up no one would make such a backhanded deal with microsoft again, especially now that no one cares about Xbox any more.

 

*sigh* I needed to vent. Sorry if you use Xbox, I have nothing against it. I just hope I won't have to wait half a f'ing year just because I chose to play the game on PC.

Not Biowares fault and probably not directly EA's but likely because of the partner agreement.

If so, don't worry... Maybe they'll release it to PC after a couple of months... Remember the first Mass Effect? The same thing... Be Positive!

I hope you are right. But that's what I thought back when this deal was in Bethesda's lap.

The trailer specifically says that,  you don't have to hope for anything.

Lucky you. I attend a Games Design course in University. If I get to play it unspoiled I'll have had to have been hidden in a cavern in Scotland.

The buck stops at EA. Microsoft isn't the Mafia. EA chose to partner, whatever that entails.

With that said the game is on varied systems, past Dragon Age DLC has not been trapped on one system over another unlike Elder Scrolls.

We probably shouldn't assume doom because a TRAILER was exclusively premiered at the Xbox thing, specially considering shortly afterwards it was officially posted for all on YouTube.

No, simply some DLC will come out on Xbox first.

Yeah, they said something similar by Skyrim and then screwed up. I hope that Bioware are better at it then.

This is the entire point. EA made a deal with Microsoft, who wanted to give the finger to Sony and PC players. EA gets paid, Microsoft gets a head start, welcome to capitalism.

I'm sure if you go look at the premium edition you will see a bunch of stuff that was taken out of the game just to make it.

Already confirmed that there is not going to be any day one companion DLC.
