I own an Xbox one as well . I'm good.
Assume you'll be getting the game for that and would have regardless of DLC timing... right? It'd be really weird to go for the old tech version in that case.

All of my saves are on the xbox 360 .Wasn't planning on using that keep thing. Looks like I may have to now.

You would anyway, there is no import, only the keep.
But you have bought it on xbox360... And of course it's going to look crap. the gameplay demos have been running on a high end pc, which looks better then it even will on next gen.
I think alot of people fail to realise that most of what is shown at E3 was running on PC's hidden backstage 360 hardware was outdated when it was new XB1/PS4 is so far behind a gaming PC its laughable here's a shortlist of some of their more obvious flaws:
1)APU is a pretty weak AMD Jaguar made for smartphones and tablets that even under optimal conditions can't go above 2.2Ghz
2)Has no dedicated graphics only the integrated graphics of the APU which is far worse then the entry level PC equivalent(Kaveri 7700K).
3)8GB of what is likely some really low speed ram(1333Mhz-1600Mhz)
4)A 5200Rpm Hard Drive when even office desktops have used 7200Rpm Hard Drives for years.
Technologically both consoles belong in a museum next to a SNES/N64/PS1/Atari Jaguar etc and thats before you factor in the extra cost of needing PSPlus/XBLG at $60 a year
To me no amount of exclusive content timed or otherwise is worth the price of having something so archaic on the 360 its going to look like minecraft compared to PC.

Ok I get it PC -goupie . Now just drop it.

Its not being a PC groupie it is stating simple facts what you get on the 360/XB1 is not going to look even close to what you seen at E3 as both consoles lack the power to display it at anything close to the E3 reveal to expect otherwise is naive, if that offends you its not my problem
I wouldn't make the assumption that it won't even be close to what we've seen thus far until we actually *do* see what the console versions look like. It is pretty obvious though that the PC version will look better. Anyone thinking otherwise is deluding themselves.
I doubt that this is to be seen as that much of a system mover, particularly over those that already have a PS4.
It may factor in for someone who doesn't have a console at all, but I figure it'd probably see the biggest impact by those that happen to own both.
It's obviously not a console mover..it's a cash grab....plain and simple xbox likes to be able to say they have x exclusives and I'm sure EA/Bioware enjoys the extra money it gets from the deal...

Bioware is renowned for fighting for equality on gender issues in their games but it seems they do not hold the same sense of equality towards their consumers who span multiple platforms numbering in the millions. This news about timed exclusivity on ALL DLC post launch is unethical to me. It treats the consumers on those other platforms as second class despite being equal in terms of fans of the series and long time consumers of Bioware's products.
The support those fans on those other platforms through the decades is not being reciprocated as they become nothing more than digits and dollars on a spreadsheet which is one of the major factors as to why so many dislike EA and other major publishers...the lack of ethics in place of dollars.
I might be slightly melodramatic in this issue but it is very disappointing to me that not only are the consumers of the other platforms being treated as second class in this instance but because they will be treated this way for the entire lifetime of the product meaning every single DLC post launch will be timed exclusive not just an initial one or initial few. As Bioware and EA wish to treat me as a consumer on a different platform as second class, I have decided to treat their product as such which means even though initially I was going to buy the game on release day or even pre-order potentially once closer to the release date, now I will be waiting till it is on sale/good size discount.
I do not appreciate being treated as second class and having to wait questionable periods before you release your content on my platform despite the content being ready at the same time as the Xbox One version...my response to this news and your actions is you will have to wait for my money and because of this you will get less money from me because of it due to waiting till when goes on sale. While this amount will pale in comparison to the Microsoft handouts which made you abandon your ethics on equality, it is a moral stand from my perspective.
I just find it ironic that a studio that promotes equality so much is so easily willing to abandon it in other areas.

where is the info about this so called xbox only dlc?

It's all over the net on most major gaming sites. Just google 'Dragon Age Inquisition Xbox One DLC'.
Who says Bioware made that deal. EA is publishing it and decides when to put what content on which platform.
Same as Bungie, Activision and Sony. Activision made a deal with Sony not necessarily Bungie.
Usually those kinds of deals hand over marketing costs to MS/Sony in exchange for timed exclusive content, developer silence on other platforms and being allowed to put their banners on the advertisements.
Normally such timed DLC's are only applicable to the initial one post release. This time EA/Bioware have decided to make every single DLC for the lifetime of the product a timed exclusive. Exclusivity as the word implies by it's nature is opposed to equality. The other platform owners are being treated with contempt in my mind by this business practice and I consider it unethical. While timed exclusivity is better than permanent exclusivity, when you go and make the timed exclusivity a lifetime of the products DLC's this undermines the the principle of using timed vs permanent. They may be unable to do anything about it now as they might have already received their metaphorical 30 pieces of silver from Microsoft but it does not make it less objectionable to me.
Two steps forward, one step back...they could of just made the initial DLC of couple DLC's timed exclusive and refused to make the all DLC's that will exist for the game timed exclusives but instead they decided to make every DLC for the game such and this crossed the line for me. In the end it seems they wish to treat me with contempt by using this unethical business practice. It is a shame as this game was one of the games I was most looking forward to but I object to that treatment plus I am very disappointed in Bioware and EA for pushing inequality in this way so as such will be waiting till the game goes on sale much like they expect the consumers on the other platforms to wait as they treat them as second class and unequal so they can get their handout from Microsoft.
I only objected to you citing Bioware when it is EA that decides that not Bioware. Bioware belongs to EA but Bioware isn't EA.Snip.
Bioware doesn't have full control over when and on which platform their dlc become available at. EA is the publisher. The best they probably can do is ask for a delay. It's obvious money is the reason for this - I wish people would stop repeating that. Also I don't like arguments saying this practice is common to the game industry so it's fine for Bioware to do it. It's not all right. Bioware games are not Call of duty or even Skyrim. They have passionate fans that cosplay, draw, write, create. Fans that give money to charity and send muffins because an end game was a let down. Bioware should encourage such a strong fan base, not divide it artificially for short term gains. Passionate fans sell games - that's how you make money.

I'm sorry but no, no no no no no. You are not seriously equating timed exclusive DLC with being anywhere near to Racism or Homophobia are you? Timed Exclusives is not some huge discrimination, it's a Business decision, The cost of triple A games to make is high if you can get some of that cost back, simply by promising one Console company or the other the chance to say 'We get it first' to not do that would be... stupid frankly.
So why do the Consoles do it, I presume with DLC it's for those people who have both a Xbox and a Playstation of the same generation, or a PC. When they are deciding which machine to get it for, the fact they can get the DLC first on the Xbox may well play a factor in that choice. I do not suspect that timed DLC plays a part in people picking what console to buy, but when you have multiple consoles, it likely affects which console to get a multi-platform game for.
I can understand you being frustrated but seriously is having to wait likely no more than a week or two really that terrible? Exclusives are a part of the industry, timed exclusives a big part of that. Look at Bungie and Destiny look at Skyrim when it came out, look at Ubisoft and just about every game they have released recently, look at... well I actually think it would be quicker to name the companies that don't have timed or otherwise exclusives. Hell the AC games I believe had exclusive full stop DLC for Sony, this is just Xbox one and 360 get it first.

Yes. It's that terrible. It says some fans are more important than other fans. I don't care if it's part of the industry norm, it's still a douche move.
Just becuse other companies have done it even worse doesn't make this okay.

No it's saying 'Microsoft paid some money to make this deal, so we took it' that is all it is saying. Nothing more, sorry but I don't see the huge moral issue here. No one forces you to buy a specific console or gaming system, you made that choice yourself, you know when you do it, the way the industry works. EA is more likely to have deals with Microsoft going, Ubisoft with Sony, and so on. That is a consideration you have to bear in mind when making your choice of machine, to turn round and complain when it turns out... yeah that is the case, is silly.
It's not ideal, of course it's not ideal, but when you take into account the huge cost of making a Triple A game, cost that in large part is paid upfront by a Publisher Millions and Tens of Millions of $ we are talking here, if you can recoup some of that huge cost by saying 'Sure have some content early' you have to give it serious thought. In an ideal world money concerns would not be an issue, we don't live in that world. Being 'Harmed' because the choice of gaming machine you made has to wait a week or two to get content... is not terrible.

I thought the traditional way of recouping the cost of making a game was to, I dunno, sell the game?
Not provide tiers of service to buyers.

Tens of Millions of $ and Gaming is a risky industry, having the insurance of already have recouped a say $1 million, of that cost makes investors happy. Or it can be turned back round and given back to the developer as say DLC budget. Or numerous other means. Sorry to say but no, again. No harm is done because you have to wait a week or two due to the choice of gaming machine you made. We are not forced to only ever get one companies consoles.
Wait...what? It's not just the first dlc?
No, it's every DLC they ever make for the game.

*slowly rubs temples*
Dat moneyhat. Did they at least say how long the DLC would be delayed for other platforms?
