• Skyhold Throne - Every ruler should sit in a place of high honor, but as the Inquisitor you will have the greatest of all, fashioned from an ancient dragon skull.• Red Hart - Navigate the perilous, living world atop this great-horned beast.• Bog Unicorn - Once belonging to an evil marauder, this unique mount has returned to inspire fear into those who would oppose you.• Bring the world of Thedas wherever you go with the digital soundtrack.• Bonus digital content - to be announced! That content is timed exclusive too???
no its for the deluxe edition
All I know is I bought a PS4 specifically because of Microsofts timed exclusives. Their tactics dont anger or sadden me, but I will not support them this cycle, which sucks seeing as I will have to get used to a relatively foreign controller setup. But hey, First World problems, amiright?
Bought my white glacier PS4 anyways, timed exclusive is not how they will make me choose Xbone over PS4.
Sony has a better reputation and better games (for me).
Timed exclusives are not going to be a fuss for me. I can wait to play my games on PS

you know it for sure? or that is a assumption?
My only problem with this is that EA doesn't need the money. This kind of corporate payola is fit for a small studio that has no resources or confidence. Not a giant of the industry like EA.
There is a pettiness to EA that I have learned to accept. They finance some good games, but they operate like a stingy and desperate company. Have some class EA, you don't need every penny. Have some dignity.

But I need money for my 7 expensive car which I don't even use.
Wow, that totally effing sucks............
If they think we will prefer XBOne over PS4 or anything else because of this, they can think again.
I had not decided which console i'm gonna buy when i decide to, but now i'm sure it's not gonna be the xbox.
Stuff like this are enough for me to blacklist a company.
It's funny because we *could* have hidden the fact and released the information later (we'd probably get more money from it as well), but we're being rather up front about it, and now getting chastized about it for being "blatant."
It would have come out anyway and this would have been the same reaction, maybe worse.
Microsoft at it again.... They think this will save their sinking ship?

That information has been known for months , since the game was made available for pre-order . The only DLC that is timed is whatever single player dlc they release .
Hey, at least its just some DLC. And its probably something useless like an overpowered weapons pack or Skyhold decorations or something equally unimportant to the game. The only time I find timed exclusives to be a problem is when it pertains to a game itself like the whole Rise of the Tombraider bull.

I don't think Microsoft would pay for useless weapons or what not.
I'm willing to wager it's story DLC.
All I hope is Bioware does work and fixes all the bugs they find on the console before shipping for PC...Bethesda did not bug fix for PC when they shipped Dragonborn DLC and as a result it had the same bugs that could have been fixed like 3 months prior to release.

Well, if the game is as long as they say it is, then waiting for endgame story content may not be an issue.

Everything you mentioned the mounts and the throne and such are all dlc , they can wait until the day before the game releases to say what the Bonus DLC Content is if they want it's their game . However I have never heard of any gaming company put something into an edition of a game make you pay for it then make you wait , and they have already said they aren't going to do a season pass type deal either . So if it is included in the edition you will have access to it when you get the game my bet is some upgrades for Multiplayer
Meh. This is bulls*it. And people in these forums still claim that xBox doesn't get preferencial treatment.
People pissed at this should look at Destiny. That game has a considerable amount of PlayStation-exclusive DLC that has been confirmed to stay exclusive for the next 12 months.
DA:I is nothing.
The "other people with different games and different companies have it worse" argument isn't something that will make people feel better about this I think
. Microsoft knows it's losing the console war with Sony and is whipping out millions of $ to stay competitive. And gamers are stuck in the middle, shafted as always.

Nobody is losing anything. This kind of thing is standard protocol, and exclusive deals (both timed and permanent) have been around for several years now.
Microsoft in particular has often associated itself with EA when it comes to deals, whereas Sony tends to go with Ubisoft.
I'm not denying that the practice is commonplace. Doesn't make it any less irritating. Especially for PC players who never get exclusive anything
. In the end there's always the shafted group and limiting content availability (even is it's a timed limit) kind of sucks for people who pay for the game and want "full" experience on launch.
well pc players have things we consolers dont*awkwardly taps foot to the ground* like mods, toolkits for fixing bugs or steam deals.this is their approach to compete with a large market and if you believe the conspiracy "phase out" the pc market(which is near impossible)I'm not denying that the practice is commonplace. What if the money that Microsoft paid for the Exclusive Timed DLC helped Bioware fund improvements in gameplay, say multiple race options for instance? Would you be willing to have someone else get a DLC first to be able to play a Qunari?
I'm not saying this is what has happened, it's just a hypothetical what if?
