well pc players have things we consolers dont*awkwardly taps foot to the ground* like mods, toolkits for fixing bugs or steam deals.this is their approach to compete with a large market and if you believe the conspiracy "phase out" the pc market(which is near impossible)

Yes, but the difference is that these things are provided in addition to the product, in the case of mods usually by the PC gaming community themselves. It's the exact opposite of withholding content from other platforms just to remind them that they bought the wrong gaming hardware.

 

What if the money that Microsoft paid for the Exclusive Timed DLC helped Bioware fund improvements in gameplay, say multiple race options for instance? Would you be willing to have someone else get a DLC first to be able to play a Qunari?

 

I'm not saying this is what has happened, it's just a hypothetical what if?

Haha, I was going to play a human anyway in case I decide to buy the game, so the question would be "would I be willing to let someone else to have DLC first so someone else can play a Qunari?". Hmmm...

 

I suspect that the playable races are a bone thrown to the player base so the wailing about the one year delay would remain at a manageable volume. I mean, it's not that the game was delayed a year to add playable races - it was delayed because one year ago, there wasn't much of a game to publish. Of course, it's well possible that the Microsoft deal helped to fund the additional year and having at least indirectly contributed to the addition of playable races.

ill concede that it is community service. But ill disagree on buying the "wrong" platform. And while certainly a gray area sony was offered the same i understand but microsoft chose it. Now for this i really dont see a issue skyrim did it and i gpt buggier than a corpse dlc. Think of it like a beta run. Sure you dont get first crack but you get a better product

Why am I paying $200 for a CE's to be treated like a second class consumer?  Bullshit like this is why people have reservation about all kinds of stuff you pull Bioware.  And FFS stop defending them they didn't have to make story content DLC a timed exclusive because of some contract, throw them some idiotic appearance and loot stuff not story content. 

 you do know that the ce edition is the same content as the deluxe edition right the prem content  we will have to pay for it it doesnt come with the ce or the deluxe edition either

I wonder if Sony was offered the promotion as well. If they were offered a deal as well, It's really Sony's fault for not going for it. Microsoft did it for profit and helped their player base with some treats. If Sony never got an offer, then yea.. That's kind of rude to the fans.

I have the PC version will be playing on Ultra in 2560x1440P@ over 70FPS and after seeing the horrible quality of the PS4 version during the livestream the other day I don't care about a little delay I like my  fallen trees to look like wood not some sloshy pixelated mud ty

Let Xbox players have this small thing. People who dont have the luxury of enjoying games on a PC has to get something, in the name of equilibrium.

 

Id wait an entire extra month for DA:I if I had to - if it meant playing on a PC vs a console. Why ruin a perfect experience for a mediocre one

They've never fully said how long you get to play I don't think, but ya EA/Microsoft did a deal that if you buy a new Gold membership then you get early access to all EA games, not just DAI

I play consoles by choice. I'm typing on a gaming ready PC actually.. I just don't like the experience anymore. Unless it's a strategy game or something exclusive on Steam.

I just spent 10 days in Disney for Christ sake. I could build whatever pc I want, but I don't enjoy pc play. The 'poor peasant' attitude is obnoxious.

I think it started with mods, being able to change a game to look, or play better based upon how you want the game to go is a pretty big thing, and an exclusive thing.  There's only very few games I can play on a PC, so I rarely use mods

At least I hope it's a joke. I've been gaming most of my life (and I'm relatively old). I've gamed on all kinds of platforms. Consoles ande Amiga in the 80s. PC starting in the 90s. But some people seem to have just discovered PCs or something, and now feel superior? I don't know.

Yeah, I planned to show off the full CC for all races/genders. Or if the trial is timed, as in "You get x hours", then as much as possible.

Someone mentioned you needed Live or you get this with Live this is incorrect.  The early access and 10% discount is a EA Access feature.  You do not need a Xbox Live Gold sub, but you do need an EA Access subscription which is $4.99 a month or $30 a year.  You get 10% off all digital content, early access to full games, and access to the EA Vault.  I figured I'd inform some of the people and make sure everyone had correct information regarding this matter.

I have read some of the comments on the lack of response from BioWare and I did want to clarify something. Deals like this are done at very high levels and sometimes do not involved the developer at all. That said, because this involves legal and business dealings of two large, publicly traded companies, it is not really our place to comment on the business and legal dealings of others. Sometimes there is nothing that we can say.

Does the DRM involve the developer? Because DRM for each EA game is different. Bioware DRM, specially ME3 really sucks reaper *****.

It will try and reconnect to EA servers everytime to verify DLCs. Not only the first time but every ****ing time. And when it wont be able to connect it will say that your DLCs are not authorized. Then you can't continue your old games as DLC is blocked and you don't want to start a new game because all the DLC is blocked.

I sincerely hope that you guys will treat us (PC players) fairly this time.
