What the heck, EA?

"Yeah, we have Mass Effect - now have some sports."

It's EA, what else did you expect? Most of their cash cows are sport games :D

Honestly it was more than I expected to see. A lot less then I wanted to see though. They did a really nice job of revealing... hardly anything at all while going on about it for over a minute.

Bioware, if you actually read these posts, then PLEASE release some more information about the game besides "you can explore more places" - perhaps about playable races or something?!

Yeah, that EA conference post was a lot of nothing. Look, we get that the graphics are great and that you guys really want to move on to new stories so you don't have to address the ending of ME3. Please, though, don't insult us in thinking that's the thing fans asked for more than a new ending. I really, really hope this was just for the conference and there's something bigger in store in the next day or so.

And what did you expect?

There are too many games which will be released before ME.

Look on DA:I when real info started coming.

Personally, I liked caineghis' thought about that. I can understand that they don't want to show too much this early because of a bad reputation caused by ME3's endings. In the end the game could end up being not as awesome as in the trailers. Remember ME1 E3 Demo? In the end we've got a completely different game where only basics where left the same. They are very cautious not to make promises they can't keep.

I think I'm disappointed by the ME team's presence not because I'd expect them to show so much content at this stage, or when the focus is on other projects like DA:I, but because it was overhyped by both the developers and the journalists.

Nevertheless, we have to take away the positives. We know now that we'll be exploring totally new areas of space (nothing too surprising, but still good to know), that the emphasis will probably be on the exploration, and from the little footage and commentary we received, it seems as if the game does indeed take place long after the events of ME3.

You've gotta hand it to them though - BioWare really know how to tease their fans. I don't think that reveal could have been much more vague if it tried! But it doesn't matter, because it was followed up by a half-hour montage of SPORTS and INNOVATION and EMOTION and REALISTIC STADIUM CROWDS and...a battleship ploughing through a golf course? Wait...what?

Even if they'd done a longer trailer with more details BWF would gripe about it.
