Keep invites

It's really hard for me to believe that despite such a long time nothing has been leaked by one of the testers
If my experience with the Internet has told me anything, it's that people love leaking bits of information after beta-tests
What voodoo-magic has Bioware used so no one has yet tried to make even just a hint?

They threatened to send the shcleets after them if they talked.
They threatened not to add Schmooples to the game if anyone said anything about the Keep
Just imagine the terror!

*gasp!*
I really want Schmooples to have an entire page dedicated to him in the keep. Like, you're going through this questionnaire or whatever, filling out your world, and then you come to a page that simply says "Did you give Leliana an adorable bunny-pig? y/n" in 34-point font.

I twittered Fernando Melo and said that he should extend the invite streak to Sunday to make it a full seven days instead of just the weekdays. Right now today is the last day but if we can get him to extend it to Sunday then we will have greater chances of being chosen!

Not complaining on that option at ALL, but the Bioware people are being quite stubborn about the whole thing lol. But we love them anyway!

I'm possibly in the same boat, I don't even know if I applied with my main email address or not. My stupidity never ceases to amaze me.
It's signed into using your origin account, so it'll be the same email as you use here.

If they had, they wouldn't be able to tell us. Everyone in the beta will be under an NDA.
According to Ability Drain (LolaLei) on her youtube channel she received an invite and said people are allowed to say if they are in, they just can't talk about what's in there.

I'd be even curious to know the total number of people invited. Saying they are sending out invites could mean two or a thousand.

Same. I signed up the day it came out, I have every Dragon Age and Mass Effect game on this same profile, and I pre-ordered Inquisition (digital deluxe) through Origins the day it was announced.
Clearly, their criteria is not "loyal fan".
But I'm not really upset about it. If they are pushing out this many invites, it means they are nearing the end of beta testing. Which means we'll ALL get access to it soon enough.

the keep invites will ask you to buy a console in order to use it. Not Biowares fault... but moneygrabbers.

?
Do you know that for a fact? Why would we need a console to use the Keep? I'm confused!

I can tell you with 100% certainty it never makes that statement, not sure where that user is getting that info. Beyond that, can't say anything else.

i don't understand why do they need closed beta and beta for this?this is just web application nothing powerful that server can't handle easy

We know it's not just a checklist. There's probably music, images, maybe even animation. (I'm predicting something like the opening of DAO where they tell the story of how the Darkspawn were created, or the act introductions in DA2.) Beyond that, there are plenty of things for them to check with a beta.
1) Does it actually, y'know, work? For everyone? On a variety of systems that are using a variety of browsers? Better to find this out during a closed beta than to let all of us at it and receive an avalanche of complaints.
2) Does it look and sound interesting and engage people? Even people who aren't hardcore fans of Dragon Age? Does it make sense to people who haven't played the previous games, or those who didn't finish them?
3) Is all of the content correct? Does it prevent you from saying that you both killed Alistair and married him? (Not that I think BioWare would miss something that major, but there might be more minor things where you can set the flags wrong.)
4) How much pounding can it take before the server falls over and dies? This part they'll likely be testing during open beta. Which is where all of us will come in

It's a little more than a web application. When the beta opens there will be a flood of people checking it out, whether they will buy the game or not everyone is going to want to see what the big deal is. The amount of people on anything at one time, thousands upon thousands of people in and out all at the same time trying to run applications and producing wave after wave of backgrounds and backstories would crash any server and with the problems Bioware has been going through in terms of "disappointing" fans between DA2 and ME3 ending they are not taking any chances. If a server crashed just 2 or 3 months before the game the backlash could be catastrophic. They are being careful and even though I think I would do terrible things for an invite at this point I appreciate them not wanting any problems.
