Looks like Leliana is wearing colored contact lenses as part of her undercover disguise. Her eyes used to be blue.

Also brown people have been impossible to come by except as huge stereotypes in so many games that when I saw Scribbles and DHMG, the very thought that they might be brown had me happy, I'm glad to see that my skin colour exists in the world of Thedas.

FWIW, I interpreted DA2's Hubert to be a brown person.  Given the difficulty of rendering darker skintones on the old engine, it can be difficult to know for sure.

Luckily olive skin was relatively OK so I could make a Warden and Hawke that looked like me :P

Now I need a good facial hair customization option and it'll be perfect :3

If the OP was phrased in such a way that it only celebrates the inclusion of diverse demographics then I wouldn't give it a second look.

I didn't quite mean that it was great that there's no white human women in the party, per se. It's not the lack of white women that makes it good, it's the high percentage of non-white humans. Not that there's anything wrong with white people, but simply because it's nice to give people of other races the spotlight for once.

I'm white as sin myself, and I certainly don't mind giving up space for others. When it comes to female characters, I'm used to almost everyone looking like me (body figure aside ;)).

So you'd be more confident in Bioware if there were more whites among the companions? Surely not, so what on Earth do you mean by this?

I guess there's only two ways to reply to this:

1) Read again

or

2) No

Leliana looked like a completely different person.

Well it has been over 10 years...

Removed some posts, but in general have decided to outright close the thread since I believe the thread will derail things further.

To OP, I'm glad that our current breakdown is something you find appealing. Hopefully our games in the future will continue to be so for most going forward.
