That means you can do more damage by not charging, since uncharged fire is at least twice as rapid.

There was a post in the past which states that graal doesn't take twice as long to charge in order to output maximum damage (i.e, twice the uncharged damage). I am not sure who posted it or where it was posted though.

Graal and Claymore

Or, alternatively, Talon, Arc Pistol, Wraith, Lancer, PPR.

Graal w/ melee blade for primary because, you know, it's a Graal.

Possibly that's true,  but in practice one tends to overcharge to make sure the charge is complete, whereas the Graal does fire uncharged as fast as one can pull and release the trigger.

I've only used it off-host, and whenever I felt that charged shots were blanking, I resorted to rapid fire. The latter certainly felt like it worked better, although it could have been a scatter effect.

Already used Wraith (blade + HVB), using crusader (armor piercing + blade) and last night tried Graal (blade + heavy barrel (non-armor piercing of course)). The only shotgun I think could be added to this roster is Venom, since it provides a decent cooldown like graal and good at disposing trash mobs.

I will give a try to use revenant (blade + armor piercing) and PPR (blade + extended barrel), but all other suggestions seem rather dull.

I'm not sure about that.  But regardless, DPS is not the end-all, be-all.  Being able to OSK mooks is huge (it's why the Claymore is such a great gun, even though its DPS is actually not fantastic).  The Graal gives you that benefit with charged shots, and most guns do not.

I'd use the Lancer. It's light enough, and casting gives the gun time to reload itself.

Would I be kicked out of the Krogan club if I said the CSMG?

Because CSMG.

Shaman is a very unusual Krogan, base carry capacity is lower than other Krogans and barrier restricts his CDs anyways if you use it. Wraith is nice on him as well but generally I score better with the CSMG.

Graal takes 0.8 seconds to charge to max damage.  The full charge animation is 2s, but is not needed.

Btw, do you know which charge up weapons are binary in their damage output and which scale with the charged time?

IIRC, graal is binary (either uncharged damage or the max damage) where as GPS scales with the time charged. Correct me if I am wrong.

CSMG on a Krogan? No, just no... I'm sure its effective; you just can't do that. Shotgun or GTFO. Although I suppose you could make the case for certain heavy AR's being Krogan-worthy (Saber, Revenant, Typhoon).

Here you go. I'm too lazy to go through it and list the weapons, sorry.

If you really wanted to do that to yourself, I guess. But if you're using something that CAN'T hold an omniblade on your Krogan, you're officially running a Baby Pyjack build.

That's so wrong. Everyone knows Barbie Pink is reserved for the Jugg.

Yeah the PPR would work.. but it would be the same result as playing the Reegar.. you'd be a Warp/Shoot weapon platform. No point in melee then.. no point in shockwaving anything but bosses bc PPR melts them outright. You'd sacrifice the soul of the Krogan Shaman..

Unless priming period of warp lasts longer than ppr clip.
And surprise, it does.

Yes, but mooks melt with warp + PPR warp ammo. Shockwave isn't really 'needed' to detonate BEs on mooks. On bosses, sure you do. I think that was mega's point. ;)

I believe his point was that he knows how to play kits while I doesn't.
I still detonate a phantom or goon time to time. But those sweet superfortified splosions on bowses do make difference.

So.. you only biosplode bosses. Ok.. that's uber boring.

When do you find room for melee? When do you Barrier Blast? Is your cooldown low enough to get a biotic explosion off of a Barrier prime?

There's all the nuances that make him special.. and almost all of them don't synergize with that using the PPR. Yet AGAIN you have taken a kit with a cool, individual skillset and turned it into another PPR or Claymore weapon platform.

Executioner feels right to me. With Barrier's power boost and a pistol power magnifier you can dish out a lot of damage even without BEs.

What if I tell you that what is boring for you is not always boring for others?
The OP asks what is a suitable weapon for krodept, I suggested ppr. That's it. He didn't ask "how to play krodept kit".

Now you compare ppr w reeger.

What do you think about lolcolyte? Does one play the kit if he uses lolcolyte+hurrdurr on him? What does your "how to play the kit properly" handbook tells you?
