Facepaint. They've showed concept arts of the male qunari wearing different facepaints before so we can assume it's a qunari thing.

This confusion all seems to because it says this on the Wiki

• Qunari Inquisitor is a Vashoth, a Qunari who was never introduced to the Qun.

 

I think this lead people to believe this is what Vashoth means. If you click on the Vashoth link it leads you to the page on Tal-Vasoth that explains the meaning of those terms. 

 

I am assuming the Qunari would consider you Vashoth simply because of your race, they have no name for the race but they would see you as part of their culture I guess. 

That's a miss statment. It's based on the comment from the dev's saying technialy they are Vashoth with them not giving any meaning to what that means. Lore wise, all qunari that leave the qun are Vashoth, tal-vashoth is a title one give to one self. Qunari that leave the qun will always be a vashoth but they have to choose to be a tal-vashoth.

I saw the demo, where the player was a female mage Qunari. Very pleased with what I saw. I like that she is taller than all the humans. Interested to see more footage and maybe some dialogue.

Deeeeeyum,.  Qunari Mage Lady looks so gewd in the demo.  And thank funk lady (Qunari) PCs do not have that horrid t-rex flailing arms and back-breaking hipsway animation that Lady Hawke had in DA2.  Praise the Maker.

The only way she looks too thin is if you compare her to Iron bull who is massive. Compare to a human.

I was going more by her own head to body proportions. She looks very much like a human female proportion-wise. She's just taller over-all than a human woman.

Have not seen Iron bull? Seem that standard for qunari. Also, what she is wear pads her shoulders.

Take a look at her horns, they don't just sprout out like Draeni horns, they actually grow out of the skin, distending the face around the area. Their facial features are very non-human (as much as possible while maintaining the 2 eye, symmetric features that every star trek race maintained). I didn't notice her walk/run much, but what I saw seemed sufficiently 'warrior' like.

I was able to mod out the sashay from my female warrior hawke in DA II.

I duno if it's difficult so much as new. With the older engines modders had plenty of experience and guides showing how to do stuff, with Frostbite this will be one of the first games people will want to mod on the engine, so there is a bit of a learning curve. I predict there will be dozens of appearance altering Mods within a month however.
