Can we just take a moment to appreciate Trevor Morris?

I can like him and Inon Zur both. I don't think DA themes were lacking at all before.

Ikr. In no way are these themes any better, in my opinion. Inon Zur's stuff was also top notch.

That being said, I leave the Dragon Age page open to loop that gorgeous music playing when you open the map.

That first 30 seconds with the cello really reminds me of the Winterfell theme from Game of Thrones. Luckily this themes get a lot more hopeful, triumphant and light (relatively speaking) quickly.

Yeah I think it gets quite special after the first few seconds. It really picks up.  *replays over and over*

Even though I did like Inon Zur's work (I Am The One  ) this is really great. Uplifting, like you said. Makes me amped up to play the game.

So far, this is my favourite DA soundtrack yet. (No insult intended to Inon Zur - I liked his stuff as well. But THAT CELLO!)

Oh man I was wondering what the first few notes remind me of - Pippin's song from LOTR.

It sounds great, can't wait to have the soundtrack. I'm hoping Aubrey Ashburn is somewhere in there.

I love the new music. There are moments that it almost seems to tease the original scores slightly, but with a new style all it's own.

Overall I think it has a more epic feel to it. The powerful string instruments and intense drums gives it a certain "driving" quality that both excites you and exhausts you, in a similar fashion to Hans Zimmer's Batman score.

This is the same vibe I picked up when it started live on Spike yesterday. I have always loved the cello, and that was a great way to open the DA segment.

I absolutely loved Inon Zur's soundtrack and I played it for weeks. But what I have heard so far from the Inquisition soundtrack was gorgeous. I really hope the soundtrack will be released separately as an mp3 download via Amazon or Origin since I probably won't be able to purchase the deluxe edition.

It's a good piece, but not memorable like this:

If I hear that anywhere else, I know it's from DA. A theme so good it hurts, branding you. Now you have a scar, you won't forget. Good music is this.

The new main theme is pretty, but too soft and forgettable. imo

I honestly think the new theme is more memorable.

I loved Origin's theme to the point where I can still easily recall it without an issue, but I am really digging the soundtrack for Inquisition so far as well. Parts of it reminded me of Buffy's "The Final Fight" theme, and that is not a bad thing.

While I can remember sitting for a long while on the Launch page, listening, the new piece is extremely moving. I am, perhaps, biased by the fact that I played the Cello in school for 9 years, and now wish I had kept up with it instead of putting it aside for the guitar.

The main DA:O Theme and "I am the one" will stay with me a long time. They were (and are) both absolutely wonderful, and bring me straight back to one of my favourite ever games. That said, this new soundtrack sounds brilliant, too. I'm sure that if the game matches up it will rank as highly in my estimation, along with the likes of Christopher Tin's Baba Yetu from Civ 4 and Alexander Brandon's theme from the original Deus Ex...

Buy another. You never stop learning. Not really. Guitar is a good thing to cut your teeth on anyways.. you might adapt quickly to the Cello again and bring some new ideas to it you otherwise wouldn't have.

Aren't we getting a copy in the Deluxe Edition? Looking forward to that; I really enjoy soundtracks in general. It's one reason I purchase special editions.

Nice music, reminds me of DA:O. They should play it on the website of DAI, would make the mood much better.
