One of the problems I have with rpgs are limited dialogue and how they can sometimes railroad you into playing a character you do not want. It kind of tarnishes my experience if I want to play an evil character and by some coincidence I am doing something my character would never actually do. Which brings me to my next questions.
We will be given the opportunity to play a truly ruthless,relentless and evil character. They are a lot of opportunities to bring such a feature to light in my opinion.
- Keep Dynamics: could be able to express the type of regime that the inquisition is running. If my inquisitor had the chance to do executions or have a more casual relationship with his soldiers it would intensify the role-playing experience. It would reflect the type of person that he is and type of decisions that he makes.
- Dialogue: Dialogue could also reflect the type of person that the inquisitor is. For roleplaying purposes, it would give players the ability to add a personality or persona to the type of ruthlessness that the character wants to portray. Be it a fast witted snaky but bloodthirsty inquisitor or calm but no nonsense type of inquisitor.
- Decisions :although they are going for a grey type of morally shaded decisions the outlook of the inqiusitor on the decisions could also intensify the roleplaying elements of the game. The decision might be grey but the intention of the inquisitor to make that decision might shift the perspective of the whole thing.
What other ways do you think this could be implemented? What is your opinion about it?
