Hey all, I did a search and didn't see anything about this. During the facebook interview today, Jesse mentioned something about what you did to get achievements carrying over, but not the achievements themselves and this led me to wonder if you would get anything for completing the insanity achievement in ME1. Reason I ask is, i'm doing a run through again, and if it's not going to matter in ME2, I'd prefer to skip it.

No DIfficulty does not give you bonus of any sort.

Cool thanks. Along those lines, do the ally achievements carry over too?

So if you beat it on insane, you don't get to start out on a higher difficulty or something?

Not sure about those. Just remember CHristina stating that Difficulty does not carry over any bonuses.

No. All difficulties are unlocked from the beginning.

Is anybody going to play through first time on Insanity for the achievement?

No, I want to get used to it first, and I found the first game less enjoyable on insanity anyway. Just finished it actually :D (Had just a couple of achievements left for a long time, finally got around to doing them in fifty hours of gaming since last Friday.

I'm right there with you, I'll first play it on normal to see how everything is then go back and play it on insanity.

Yea, according to the IGN review in their words, "It's not a cakewalk" and I'm guessing they were playing on normal.
