Greetings BSN. Long time listener reader, first time caller writer.

I'm feeling incredibly indecisive about what weapon to use for a Turian Sentinel for Gold solo attempts. (I've done Gold solos in the past using other classes.)

I have every weapon available except the Particle Rifle, although many of my ultra-rares are at low levels. Full mainifest here.

Build is currently 6/6/5/6/3.

Given the Turian's stability bonuses, I've thought about the Lancer. There's always the Harrier. Or Saber. Or I saw a cool Youtube where a guy used the Falcon. Or... you see how indecisive I am!

What do you guys recommend?

Lancer, Arc Pistol, Raider, Arc Pistol, Hurricane.

I'm sure there are some others, but those would be my main choices.

I play my TSent with two setups. Lancer only for Platinum or Hurricane/Arc combo for Gold. Incendiary Rounds are a must for as many explosions as possible and incendiary cheese. I am pretty sure that one of them can work in a solo. You'll probably get to try it before I do.

I use the Lancer on him, it's light, has a good dps and the recoil is easily manageable with the turians' stability bonuses. However, I have it at 10 for a long time so I don't really measure how good or bad it is at 3.

Sorry Deerber. Claymore is reserved for Krogan.

This is the setup I would use. The Arc Pistol's charged damage is so high that even on-host Phantoms can't BS their way around it.

Meh.

All I know is when a lone turian defended Palaven against the Rippaz, he used a Claymore.

Space zombies never stood a chance.

looking through your manifest, you have plenty of good options.  I would say it would vary a bit depending on the faction you want to solo against as well.

Cerberus - Venom, GPS, Talon, Arc Pistol, Adas, Krysae and Graal

Geth/Reapers/Collectors - Raider, Pirahna, Claymore, Eagle/BPP or Hurricane

Plenty of options to choose from, but I would most of all recommend using weapons that you personally enjoy so you don't make it a grind.

interesting looking back through that thread where Peddro began to realize the warp/incendiary glitch was in the game without knowing exactly what was causing the DoT stacking.

4/6/6/6/4 Hurricane + Acolyte (EZ-mode setup that I used for a plat solo) , Raider or Venom (my favourite setup)  , Arc Pistol. Always Incendiary Ammo 3/4 (except when you are using the Arc Pistol , then go with AP3/4 or Drill Rounds 3).

Also if you wanna go old-school : Falcon + Talon (my favourite setup back in the days).

This is a good post because different weapons are better against different factions, except for some of the more absurd weapons.

Wow, thanks for all the responses.

For Arc Pistol use, do you want to evolve Overload to avoid Neural Shock so that organic enemies don't fall down and can therefor be headshot easier?

For Hurricane, I find that constantly reloading is somewhat annoying. Maybe I just need to get into a rhythm with it.

I hadn't considered the shotguns -- was getting blindered by ARs. Great, now I've got even more setups to contemplate. :P

= = =

Also, I noticed that the two people who suggested specific builds, suggested < 6 ranks of Tech Armor. I've always played this guy with a full 6 ranks, because I like the Power Damage at rank 5a and the additional Durability at 6b. But maybe I need to try something different.

^ I do spec into neural shock on overload. I don't care if enemies fall to the ground - it's alright if I don't headshot a few enemies. Most of the time, I don't overload enemies with health, I just shoot them.. Neural shock is really helpful vs. phantoms and other organics and their shields/barriers.

As for build, I prefer a 4/6/6/6/4 build. I prefer having full weapon passives as his powers don't deal very high damage to start with.

I could link you to some arc pistol gold solo videos if you're interested :)

NO.  This is only a concern for low level enemies without shields like Troopers, Husks, etc., and other than Husks/Aboms, you don't see many of them outside the first few waves of Gold anyway.  For them, just use Warp if you need to stagger them or force a dodge.  Neural Shock is going to increase your shield damage against Organics, which will help a lot (especially with Phantoms).  For shielded enemies, your goal should be killing them before they are even able to move around unshielded.

Here's the build I like, if you're interested http://kalence.drupa...24N52343!BC995O. This vs Cerberus on white was the easiest platinum solo I've ever done.

Tweaked around with it a bit and this is the setup I settled on. I'm not a big fan of rank 6 warp on him, but if you are then trade a rank of fitness for it. Overload all the shields and barriers away, and the loadout is so light you can even tech burst things with warp at decent distances (which you cast on bosses to bring them down fast thanks to the debuff). Neural shock is important to devastate organic shield/barrier. The knockdown isn't important because 1.enemies on health will die right away to a headshot so you won't be using it on them in the first place and 2. shielded enemies don't have the knockdown applied to them, but there's an added plus if you're overwhelmed by mooks and need a couple to stop shooting at you for a moment. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, MARAUDERS.

So you've got insane weapons damage, shield stripping and cc, a debuff for the meaty targets, and a lot of survivability. Perfect for soloing.

*Armour mod can be adrenaline too.
