Well, I'm on Xbox too and I just so happen to have a video of the Arc Pistol vs Geth with my 3/5/6/6/6 build.

- snip -

Unimpressed. The TSent + Arc pistol isn't rare. Show me a melee Salarian Engineer with a Hornet, and we can talk.

Reegar + Incendiary Rounds against Reapers. Kill a Banshee in one clip, kill a Brute in half a clip. Probably the easiest 20 minute Gold solo you've ever made.

I'm on Xbox and I killed a Banshee on Platinum in one clip with the Turian Sentinel Reegar. So nah, it works on consoles as well.

Probably for Peasetree it doesn't work. Xbox does have better frames, but can you turn off the motion blur? I noticed that the 360 version has motion blur.

Dunno about solo, but Saber is all my way to go on him, also if you're fighting Cerberus, bring a Scorpion for Phantoms

CSMG + Inc + overload create fire explosion (one or two) every 3 seconds, in that time you prime the next target, The get scanner and the CM can be swapped if you feel confident to run without it, the warp+Eagle is to work the enemies with armor....

While I like "caster" or powers builds, the Turian's weapon passives are so good that I feel like I should be using something meaty. That said, I'm a fan of the Collector SMG -- I used it on a Human Sentinel when I play Platinum. Not as much of a fan of the Eagle, though.

Harrier with piercing mod ext mag and incendiary ammo. Cheesy but effective

You are going to be moving  around the map and all the ammo boxes are yours + you have 6 thermal clips

Excellent point. On Gold solos, you should have plenty of ammo for even the most ammo hogging weapon like the Harrier. (Platinum solos, I've never tried, but from what I've seen the ammo boxes are stingy.)

Two pages? Did nobody suggest the Particle Rifle? C'mon now.

A couple of people did, but it won't do me any good because the Particle Rifle is the one and only weapon I don't have unlocked. *sigh*

I attempted the solo last night. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful, but it was good run right up until the time it went horribly wrong.

Warning: LONG!

Spoiler

I haven't decided if I will this same solo set-up again, or if I will re-spec my Turian Sentinel to use the Arc Pistol.

Or you can just use Hurricane/Acolyte combo. That will take care of all your problems. Also, your fire explosions will do more damage if you have Overload at a higher rank.

It doesn't work as well on console. Probably can one clip a banshee though because warp incendiary stack with each other. Warp has insane damage versus barriers stacking with the incendiary and the it hits armor and it's game over. Atlases are more problematic, I think I remember about four bars of armor with one Reegar clip and an inferno nade and that was hitting the lower third of the canopy in the sweet spot.

My advice is just rocket a couple of double Praetorian spawns on eight and let the chips fall where they may. You got a hard cap of six of those crustacean fuckfaces that wave and it's easily the most difficult Collectors gold wave. You should have a lot better time etc if you do that. All of the other waves except nine if you don't account for the possessed Praetorian should be cake. Just concentrate on taking out the abombs fast and you'll get to the budget cap quickly.

Not as well, but it still works. You have to get the timing and the aiming right if you want to one clip a Platinum Banshee, and it is really hard but it is doable (I've done it a couple of times). Most times though one clip only takes her down to three bars of armor. Probably has something to do with me not being good at headshots with the Reegar or something.

Are you setting up double hits sometimes?

edit: What mods on the Reegar?

Think I used the Extended Barrel and the Shredder Mod. HVB + Capacity would probably be better though.

Also, I have no idea what double hits means in this game, never paid attention to that.

Eh it probably actually isn't relevant with that level penetration.

But you can double hit a Banshee if you get her to put up her hand.  Basically with enough penetration you hit her twice per one shot, sort of like an Atlas.

I am fairly sure I have done it with 1.5m, so I was wondering if it might work with only 1.3m which is possible on Reegar.

Anyway the other thing is that I think if Incendiary Ammo DOT gets combined with Warp and you cause her to do power block it will cancel the IA DOT I think.

Well, if I do kill her from full barriers in one clip it means that she isn't blocking. She comes screaming (lol, nasty) and while she is teleporting I throw a Warp at her and then shoot her while aiming for the chest/head area. No hands involved  :)

Yes but I am trying to come up with ideas why you didn't kill her every time doing that.

So clearly sometimes the damage applied was greater than other times.  If it was from the fps problem with the Reegar it would mean the fps is volatile enough to make a substantial difference in the damage.  How much does it change on xbox?

If you are really going with the 1.4x damage from headshots, maybe you just are landing less pellets on her from aiming at her head.

Rocketing the spawn on Wave 8 would've been possible if I hadn't messed up the end of Wave 7. Oh well.

I'm not a fast player by any means -- but yes, burning (heh) down those Abominations makes relatively short work of the wave budgets.

7 is not that bad if you keep the Scions clustered together. The 3 of them always spawn together. There's a captain and four abombs as well. You can get out of line of sight of the Scions and just farm the Abombs to make that wave an easy one. Run away if the heavies get close.

"I did take Warp 4a Damage rather than the usual 4b Detonate, on the theory that I wouldn't be detonating that many explosions with Warp"

Just FYI, Warp 4b only affects biotic explosions, not tech explosions.  It's pointless on a solo with the Turian Sentinel, who only has one biotic power.  It's the far superior option on team games with other biotics though.
