I'm excited... BUT i'm also terrified. Does this mean the romances are as fleshed out as TOR? As in, like, two romances dialogues and a handful of flirts?

Have faith, this game is far bigger than DA's first two go arounds.

Me too. I'm just very VERY worried. We all, at the end of the day, love BW stories. I just want it to be as great, variable and fun as Origins or even 2. ME3 had good romances because we had them through 1 or two others games, so the set up was already there.

We've seen a lot of awesome stuff. We've seen amazing graphics, beautiful music, awesome combat... nothing much on the plot. They got a lot of money for everything else... were they allowed as much time and money on the writing/VA?  If they have that many romances, will they have been given enough time and resources to make them as rewarding as Morrigan or Carth or Viconia? That's my main issue. I'm staying concerned about it because I haven't been given an e-hug yet.

How about this:

The smart thing to do is temper your expectations. That way, you can't be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised.

So if you expect only 3 relationships, heterosexual/homosexual/bisexual, and there are MORE, you will be like "Oh wow! This is better than I expected!"

Basically, this. Go in expecting base level stuff, so that way your expectations are met or you're pleasantly surprised, instead of expecting the world and getting your expectations met or being severely disappointed.

Not particularly worried since BioWare's mantra of priorities would assumably include Romance. It's not what I typically go in for with a BioWare game, but I've got an open mind and they seem pretty vigilant towards making this one of their best titles.

But is that the fun thing to do?

Prolly not. :|

Of course not. But it might help with the inevitable "BUT THIS ISN'T WHAT I BUILT UP IN MY MIND!!11!!" posts that will follow. xD

I hold high standards to things. Especially BioWare because they have an A++ track record. I'm only having massive panic attacks about how fleshed out the romances will be because I CARE.

I'm Rage Quitting if my polyamorous relationship with Corypheus, Lothering's Revered Mother, Scribbles, and Carroll the Templar isn't recognized in game.

No, we build it up until even a Star Trek holodeck recreation wouldn't suit our needs, then Templar out when the game releases, annulling it from the world with fire, steel, and death. *nodnod*

You'll have plenty of options, so if one doesn't work out, you'll have another go at it. Still, nothing to froth at the mouth over.

Unless you want to.
