ME3 was conditional based on save imports.  We already know Cole won't be a romanceable, so at best they would tie ME3.  (I also don't think Lels will be romanceable, either).  I'm assuming they're going by ME2, and counting full-fledged romances, which would mean we would get 7, which is still a crapton of options.

I was preparing myself for not getting the romances I want because I was thinking we'd only get about 4 characters. Two of which we know already.

But now..Hmmm I may be allowed to get excited at the possibilities again

Man, I know they won't give an exact number, but I really hope some dev, somewhere, takes pity on us and at least tells us if they actually meant "in the DA series" or if they're counting Kelly Chambers in ME2, or the imports in ME3. I think we can rule out exceeding the total number in SWTOR .

There's actually five in DA2 if you count Sebastian. (Which is a whole other question: if they only meant in the DA series, are they counting him?)
