Ok so we aren't basing it on anything factual since neither of those answer change the bottom line. It should be noted that Bioware does not view exactly equal numbers of romances as their definition of fair and equal representation. Don't get me wrong the 2/4/2 solution seems the most likely to me as well but it's still conjecture being spouted as fact at this point.

I think having demons to attack speed up the onset of lovin'...life and death tend to accelerate bonding, that kind of thing, friendship or otherwise.
