Of course, I hope no one was realistically expecting something bigger than that. Its not like every companion we have will be potential love interests.

 

6 allows for the heavily suggested and requested 2/2/2 of heterosexual/homosexual/available to both genders options.

I don't think I was ever ON the hype train. Or at least, I got off it back when they announced gender restrictions.

 

No matter how good the game otherwise is, and even if I can have the exact kind of relationship in the game that I personally want to, the presence of those limitations is going to bother me.

Yeah but the way he said "most romances we ever had" and "for every taste" in the demo made it sound like A LOT more than 4 LI's, so. Idk.. If it'll be really 6 LI then it's kind of an anticlimax for me. I mean I wasn't expecting 20 freaking LI's, but still more than 6 after the demo.

This is why we keep our expectations dooown. So you can't ever be let down. Either expectations met or pleasantly surprised.

And that helps how? I already played DA2. Several times. I want more games in the same vein. Going back and playing an old one is not even close to a solution.

Also "finally"? DA2 is literally the only game they've ever made that offered that kind of freedom. In every other single BioWare product, romances were restricted, but I don't say "there's always ME3" when you complain about DA2, because that would be stupid and insensitive and I am only the latter.
