Anyway,
As we're learning more and more about characters, we're getting general ideas of where they may lie when it comes to sexuality.
Sera I believe is the only one confirmed as being a specific sexuality though, and the rest are in the air?

A fantasy setting is, in fact, a blank check to do whatever you want. That is pretty much the entire point of fantasy. The fact that 99% of fantasy only deviates from "reality" in a few small, extremely common ways speaks only to lack of creativity on the part of the author, not to any sort of inherent limitation in the genre.
No it isn't
A fantasy setting must still be internally consistent, and 9/10 relies on irl scientific principles such as gravity. Just because there are dragons and magic doesn't mean the world can stop abandoning all reason, otherwise why don't we just craft a magic arrow that immediately seeks out the big bad and kills him and we all go home.

Okay. I walked...flew into that one. ![]()
Yes; however the life experience of a lesbian or gay individual is going to be a little different than that of a straight or bisexual person- to make everyone bisexual, you remove the possibility of barking up the wrong tree- a really human thing to leave our of a series focused so much on player immersion.
This, however, will be my last thoughts on the subject. Have a good day.
Uh, small note: the life of a bi person tends to be vastly different than the lives of both genres of monosexual, primarily because people tend to want to think that whatever gender your last sex partner was in the gender you're after for life. So often you have to come out mutliple times to the same people. I realize the implication of teaming up bi and straight people in that sentence was most likely an unintentional side effect of grammar, but i wanted to get this point of clarification out there.

Like this?
At least I'm not so arrogant to pretend that my personal desires are anything more than that.
And yes, if you're going to argue about romance content on a basis of adhering to "realism", then pointing out the presence of dragons is an absolutely legitimate refutation. Fantasy stories are under no obligation whatsoever to be realistic. Demanding that a fantasy story adhere to one aspect of "realism" and not others makes you an enormous hypocrite.
It's incredibly, pathetically transparent that you're just trying to apply a thin veneer of legitimacy to your own personal preferences: In this case, a distaste for LGB characters, and having to share content with LGB gamers.
But I'm sure you also use this garbage tactic in threads about weapon design and such.
Like this?
well yes, also in universe the eagles would never deign to do that
Incoming taint jokes.Sentient Darkspawn romance?
Your mind says no.
But your heart says yes.

It was the grammer and trying to be sarcastic; it may not have translated well in practice. Sorry if I was too vague; no offense meant.
This thread is going to be locked before the end of the day I guarantee it.

Internal consistency is not even remotely relevant to the concept of "realism".
Even if 9/10 fantasy worlds do rely on "IRL scientific principles" (which you cannot prove, because you're not privy to the internal workings of any fictional universe outside of the ones that you create yourself), what the **** does that have to do with anything?
The myriad excuses that authors come up with for why the protagonist can't just "craft a magic arrow that immediately seeks out the big bad and kills him" very rarely have anything whatsoever to do with "IRL scientific principles". In fact, the excuse is almost always magical in nature: ie, the villain is impervious to all harm and can only be slain by one specific weapon or spell, or some prophecy demands a one-on-one fight to the death.
Honestly, how is this even a question? It's like you've never read a fantasy story at all.

Yeah, I understand. There are some things I need to always make sure are absolutely clear for people tho, you know?

Just saying.
I think ist pathetically transparent that you're just trying to be as polemic about your opinion as humanly possible to offend People who have a different opinion than you. Please let's stop this now and not get another thread locked.
You're mistaken, this is me trying extremely hard to be civil.
This thread is getting all nostalgic now.
