Maybe I've missed something, but as far as straight males go there's only Cassandra and Vivienne or am I mistaken? (Since Sera was said yesterday to be a female only romance).

I am saying just four meaningful letters: "m", "o", "d" and "s".

For the PC crowd anyways.

My guess is that since there are going to be more romances in this game, they are probably going to be very specific on what each character is attracted to in things such as gender, race, behavior, etc.

Unnamed scribe girl is still around. That's assuming the available romances are limited to your companions & advisors.

Gender yes, Behavior I hope so, not sure on Race though.

If they're going to start adding race restrictions, we'll need more than six options to cover everyone.

Yeah, I think that may be a bit much.

You know what's funny, in David's tweet, he's blaming Mike Laidlaw, but it was Mark Darrah who said it in the interview.

Good point. Mike only said that there was a "large number" of romance options.

It was Mike's prerogative to clarify, but he went right along with it so ITS JUSTIFIED, bahahaha

Mods don't mean anything when you play the game when it comes out, not to mention that it won't stack up against the depth of Bioware's own writing and development (since they lack all the tool sfor this and such).

My Sheploo bromanced Harbinger in ME2. Everything's possible with mods.

And no, it didn't hurt. Harby was gentle. He didn't tear it apart.

Not Bioware, but I've heard File City for Deus Ex was about on par with the main game.  Never played it myself though.  Of course, that's not getting into NWN 1 or 2.

Race restrictions would be a deal breaker for me.

well, as far as sera being f/f only, just wanna offer my sincerest condolences to all my bsn bro's that were interested in her char. and hoping to romance her.

i mean, i know you'll get over it and all that, but it is a disappointing feeling, and not something i would wish on anyone. here's hoping another li might just surprise you.

the more romances thing...i'm guessing 6-8, but w/set orientations it will prolly work out to 2...maybe, maybe 3 options available for any one PT. (2 followers and one npc or one follower and one npc?)

*fun thread, tho. lol'd alot :wizard:

Do we know anything about that, barring Cullen and Scribe Girl?

We have don't know who is available for the male PC, though Cassandra has been confirmed as a love interest, so she's likely available to dudes.

The statement wouldn't include SWTOR.  WHich is probably not that surprising because by virtue of being made in a different studio it's easy to overlook.  (I did myself).

Is it even fair to compare it to an MMO, as opposed to a SP game? The very structure of an MMO is meant to extend indefinitely, whereas a SP game has a plot with a beginning, middle, and end. Sure, a SP game like Skyrim might extend forever because you can just go around doing whatever you want, but there IS a main plot to that game, even if it's not really the point of playing it in the first place.

What does that have to do with the number of romances?
