Yeah, no kidding.  Orlais wouldn't be in the position it's in right now if Celene had just accepted that Empresses don't get to let things like that matter.

Eh, but her choice would have been Cailan.

He was long dead by the time her choice mattered to the present situation.  Celene forgot that a ruling monarch's first and only priority is the state.  Her personal preferences should have had no bearing on who she married.  And even if her selfishness hadn't caused a Civil War now, which it absolutely contributed to, it would have caused succession issues down the line.

Theoretically possible.

Dragons can be lesbians too

We're on to lesbian dragons at long last!  I wondered when we'd get here...

Speaking of High Dragon romance, was it here that someone asked if Shapeshifting was coming back so they could shapeshift into a High Dragon and then romance a High Dragon in secret?

These quotes are all why I plan to be a Mage on my first run. Dragon Age Inquisition here I come for my High Dragon Romance. With all the romances in this game, surely this is possible.

That's gotta suck for the male drakes.

Eh, who would have been a good choice? Gaspard? Remache? Teagan? Gaspard means war with Ferelden. Teagan means Civil War. Remache means being married to Remache.

Celene intended for an alliance by marriage, and Cailan was planning on divorcing Anora. Had this happened, they might have only had a marriage of convenience after she bore an heir, then they stay in their own Kingdom/ Empire, respectively. All The Hero of River Dane's fault it didn't work.

The question is whether Gaspard would have given up his Ferelden plans as a compromise if Celene had accepted his proposal. In my mind, the answer is yes: there's plenty of ways to restore Orlais to "glory" but there's only a few to rise to the throne, and marriage to Celene is pretty preferable to civil war.

what?

Her profile didn't mention anything at all about her sexual preferences.

It's not like the Iron Bull interview were we told he'd jump into bed with anyone.

Cassandra has a history with men and none with women. That points to her being more likely to be straight in line with what she has done in the movie.

No matter how many times people say this, I still wont get it.

Cass kissed a guy on the cheek. I kiss my friends on the cheek all the time, it doesn't mean we're dating or that I find them sexually attractive.  He clearly liked her but I don't see more then friendship on her part.

I wouldn't call that a 'history' with men.

So far, I don't see much evidence either way.

By your definition I am bisexual because I kissed my female friend on the cheek when I saw her for lunch today.  I'd better go warn my husband.....

If you put what she says about Hawke as Varric telling tales.

I also said that I think that Padma Lakshmi is stunningly gorgeous.  The most beautiful woman on the planet.

Still gay.

In his only previous appearance, Anders only expressed interest in women, not men.

And yet...

The lesson of the story: Just because it's not said explicitly doesn't mean it isn't there.

I know quite a few bisexuals who are in a relationship and this drives them NUTS. "I like men and women. I am currently dating a woman. Therefore, everyone assumes I only like women". Nonsense.

I think Cassandra could be many things. Could be straight. Could be lesbian. Could be bisexual. Could be pansexual. Who knows?

Tomb Raider spoilers(regarding Lara's sexuality and events in the rebooted game+a comic)

Spoiler

So anything's possible. Don't know till we know.

She doesn't really say anything different about Hawke based on gender, Varric does.

Somthing along the lines of this:

Male Hawke

Varric: Sounds like you've got a crush seeker

Cassandra: No, I just find what he did Heroic

Female Hawke

Varric: Sounds like you're getting a case of hero worship

Cassandra: No, I just have respect for what she did.

Look, if there were actually evidence for Cass being straight, I'd be disappointed but I'd accept it, so far the 'Cass is totally straight' crowd are kinda stretching things to fit what they want.

I was aware of that it's more of stage in making Lara who she becomes. They are not rewriting the character as such. Think of it more like a death flag.

Apparently her writer, Rhianna Pratchett wanted to make it clear that she was gay in the rebooted game but someone at the developer or publisher level wouldn't let her.

What evidence? We know, based on her appearance in Dawn of the Seeker, that she has at least some interest in men. So that rules out "No Men".

But where is the evidence that she doesn't like women?
