I didn't like the NPC romances in ME3 (Traynor's romance was very shallow, while Steve was a bit better), but I think that NPC romances are not necessarily bad/inferior. Apart from the ending, I think Aribeth's romance in NWN was well done for example.

I don't think they are necessarily 'bad' but will be inferior compared to companion romances (there's a lot to say for getting extra stuff with banter and other comments you hear while out adventuring).

I am sure he wasn't counting SWTOR.

I'm sure he meant Dragon Age although whether he was counting the herosexual stuff ,who knows. Still KOTOR is a Bioware game so if you want to be pedantic, then it counts.

All I can tell you is that I was charmed by Sam and Liara is on my list of romances I'll never do again. So it's very mich a matter of how the content is used.

1) Yes she did.

2 & 3) That's not romance-related. And her #2 happened on the Normandy.

Uh no she did not. She never had a date on the CItadel and yes it is romance-related as those two things where different for romances. Something she never had, because she is not a squad mate. You can like her all you want, but until the CItadel dlc, her romance was lacking in content.

Yeah, she did. She had the Arcade thing. And was more plot-important in Citadel's main quest.

Ooh, one line of dialogue. Meanwhile she has a paragraph on the Normandy different in her farewell if romanced.

Let's just drop this. I was in a good mood and don't want it soured more.

That's CItadel dlc, which I already said added content THAT should have already been in the main game. Liara and Garrus content was far more beefy then hers in the dlc just like the game.

In the base game, she had the chess match and/or shower scene instead of the 'Citadel date'.

Now drop it. <_<

SHe only plays chest if you don't romance her. The shower scene was also garbage.

It's pretty lol worthy she's in underwear in the shower scene while Liara's butt naked in her lovescene.

That's true...but there were very few romance specific party banter in DA:O/2 and ME (I hope we get more in DA:I). And maybe they give the NPC romances more content (banter) in the camp/keep in order to balance this out. If they do NPC romances they should do it right, and not Traynor 2.0.

I'm fine with them in theory.  I'm not saying there shouldn't be npc romances.

I'm not fine with them in practice when they take away companion options from LGBT players.

I hope both the NPC romances are the straight options
