Theeeere you go, not a single roll was given!
Thanks for the link. Good stuff.
Much appreciated
emmm. hard to tell. obviously this is a console version.
main concern is UI. i really don't like it. not sure if pc version of the game will show abilities avaliable and cooldowns on some kind of panel. Or they just switched them off for this footage.
Staff combat, it's DA2 like which is good. Same animation though, but nothing that bad.
A map during a combat, 4 squares? what is that? unfinished stuff?
Local map... yeah it's nice. some paths are narrowed down - like you can only go to this location through this way.
Behavior of Iron Bull during a fight with a dragon. He is not moving. He's just staying on a spot waiting for a dragon for either land or kick his ass. I guess you should manually guide each character for dodge or intercept, like if i want this character be in the spot where dragon will land - i have to guide this character by myself. Iron Bull is not taking a defenseive position near pc or some other mage. This and many other things are inhereted from DA2, and this is bad.
Also - i hope they gonna fix this issue, in one moment Iron Bull collided with a dragon and was moved to another spot, which in fact interrupted Bull's attack, this is no go.
As i mentioned before, from the looks of it, combat is not a strong side of DAI by many reasons. Mostly because they using the same DA2 combat which have zero synergy between a character and a mob.
Thanks a lot SerCambria! It was a really nice video.
Much better quality Youtube video now in the OP
Cheers SerCambria! Good to see something a bit more in-depth. More of the tactical camera made me breathe a sigh of relief, and overall I liked what I've seen here a LOT more than the brief bits that were on yesterday. Warrior combat looks a bit ... flashy? .. for my tastes, lots of effects with the sword swings; though I like that it's faster than Origins. It also looks a bit weightier than DA2, which I also like. Flame effects looks amazing. Gorgeous environments, fabulous Lady Qunari Inquisitor, loving the companions and the stained glass look of the conversation icons.
Overall, MUCH HYPE! I would quite happily be switched off now and woken up in October, thankyou, because ooooh, dat wait
Thanks for better link ![]()
WTF Sera died at 9:50-9:53??
Looks amazing though. Much better than yesterday. I see the spell/talent icons haven't changed their art (I could see tremor and sycthe for IB, Winter's Grasp, Cone of Cold, Firestorm, Fireball, and Chain Lightening for the Inquisitor, and Bursting Arrow for Sera).

I was very curious about that also, If you die in the fade, do you die in reality? It seemed to abrupt to be a permanent death of a companion

Looks like there's an interesting turn with the speed type spell. Instead of the allies moving exceptionally fast, like in DA 2, the target(s) is frozen in place. It implies moving so fast the target appears immobile, I think.

Edit:
- 'Killing' a mortal's dreaming form while in the Fade (thus ending that individual's dream and waking them up) is a shock to the living body, but not normally lethal. However, Dreamer mages have been known to be able to kill others in their dreams, and if an individual is "awake" in the Fade death there can potentially lead to physical death.
Oh wow that makes sense, I didn't even take the initiative to think of whether they were in the Fade or not. It's definitely possible, thank you sir.
Not really a fan of the character portraits and health bars. I hope they polish it up when it's gold. ![]()

I think they will, the portraits at least. As for the health bars I actually am rather fond of them. It may actually make it a little more easier for me to tell when my people are about to die so I can re heal them. ![]()
thank you SerCambria
Great video!
Now I need to know about spells and talents ![]()

I'm ok with both the portraits and the health bar (low standards, maybe?
) Looks very cool. Hope they give us some more info on healing and specializations soon

I have to say I also like the way the dragon lobs fireballs from above, and the way they come down like a meteor, and how it flies by and scorches paths of fire. I know it's a little thing, but those effects are pretty solid.

I did not, 200? maybe they're putting together all talents and spells and their upgrades?
