2.Mages find baddass a difficult look to pull off

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am not calling anyone sexist or anything. I just like this design better so I defended it.

I am totally down with calling someone sexist.

Who are the offenders and where do I put their heads?

I'm not too fond of the design.  Look like an average female face with horns.  It's that average looking nose and eyes.  I would preferred these strong nose and eyes.

The amount of people around here who get pissed off or upset because BioWare dared to make the female characters in this game not look like pinup barbie dolls is absolutely disgusting.

When Sera was reveled, so many people wanted to kill her or leave her out of the party forever because of her hair.

Every thread for the female characters has at least one person coming in and whining about how they're "ugly."

This thread has pages and pages of people complaining about the female Qunari they chose to showcase actually looking as strong and intimidating as her male counterparts (never mind that if they want to make one that has softer features they're completely within their power to)

Just. Stop.

LOL true dat tho.

But I think it is actually fitting for the Kossith race considering how they're the largest of all the known races thus far and naturally stronger than the others. Their females might look too muscular for us but to a male Kossith, I can imagine they see them as we see our women, pretty and smaller. That being said, I'm sure the customization could allow us to make a less butch looking female Qunari...

I should think so. That's why it's not really a big thing, like it would be if it was a set character.

I think those saying she is ugly or that she looks like a horse are either not serious, have a really narrow range of what they find attractive or have never seen a truly ugly person.

Really, I think she is very good looking in an unusual way, definitely not your catwalk model and definitely not ugly.   :)

Absolutely nailed how I feel about the whole situation.

How dare they show off a female character who doesn't conform to the conventional standard of beauty. How dare they indeed.

Yep.

Glad to see though that there are a lot of people here that are a bit more... level-headed, shall we say.

Oh and for what it's worth, I actually find this default female Qunari extremely attractive. Her design really works for me.

Personally, I really like how she looks.

The Qunari are a race of strong, tough and fierce giants, and now you can see this in the females as well as in the males. I am glad she doesn't look too 'soft' or 'dainty' and actually looks distinct from the other races.

Inevitably, people will complain about her attractiveness. But I don't think this is restricted to males complaining about female characters' looks, because I see plenty of females complaining about male characters' looks too. That all just seems odd to me.

I'm not attracted to the female Qunari, but I don't believe that I need to be in order to think she's great.

It's because they're used to games pandering to their sexual desires with regards to female characters and can't handle it when they don't.

Im glad bioware respects female gamers enough to put the Qunari female as is. It seems only guys who want to objectify women loath women in proper armor who actually look like badass warrior girls.

This topic just personifies the problem with the Games industry and misogynistic bs women have to put up with from male gamers.

Not seeing the big deal. Women seem to like attractive men, men seem to like attractive women. There is the game and there is reality, two entirely separate things. Like going to watch a Hollywood movie.

Im glad bioware respects female gamers

And many of the male ones as well. )) I for one (being a male gamer) love this appearance and wouldn't want them to reduce it to some pretty doll for some dolts to play with.

According to my (slightly revamped to look like DA2 Sten):  Women are priests, artisans, farmers or shopkeepers. None of them have any place in fighting.

I think someone forgot to tell our rather handsome (yes, women can be handsome without being masculine too!) Qunari Femquisitor! ;)

For the people that are unhappy with the supposedly "manly" and "ugly" Qunari female design:

- This is only one possible look for the FemQunQuisitor (the default, maybe?).

- There are most likely female Qunari NPC's out and about in DAI. Going out on a limb here but they won't all be clones of what the Inquisitor looks like here.

- The game ships with a character creator. You will, with a 99.9% certainty, be able to create a more "conventionally attractive" Qunari female that you can then play with and never equip any armor on.

Can't think of a better reason to blow 2k on a PC  :D If the CC is as good as they claim it is, then it should not come to that.

Then its just a case of can you emulate a WoW Palaidin in the DA:I system.

I am for one extremely happy with femqun's appearance. FINALLY a female that looks like one, but not too squishy and has enormous amounts of badassery. Just look at that glare! I think it also fits the qunari persona. Turning it into a draenei via mods is just an insult.

I can finally make a character in the CC without using a toolset or mods of any sort to make her more defined and epic. Thumbs up.

The frostbite engine is not easy to make mods for, so there is a good chance it will never happen.

Unfortunately, I think its pretty much confirmed DA:I wont have a toolset or any real modding support, other then possibly the ability for texture replacements. So the guys who want barbie dolls should be okay with getting that wish, just don't expect any elaborate mods like was possible with DA:O
