It fits and goes good with the looks of their male countparts.

She looks more like a chaos space marine than a female.
Every thread for the female characters has at least one person coming in and whining about how they're "ugly."
Well, because it's someone's opinion.

I have to say I do like the look, she looks like a female version of her race which is how it should be.
The race is meant to look different from the other humanoids and not be pretty like elves and more fearsome looking then have your typically view of beauty that most fantasy games have for female chars.
This is really helping me decide what race and gender I may play first time depending on the other voice for male.

She looks amazing in my opinion. Scary and intimidating ![]()
As she should be.
I read up somewhere that a female Kossith who fights is considered a "man".

Well, because it's someone's opinion.
But the point is it's bad they feel the need to state how attractive they find her at all.
That person isn't saying 'it's annoying how people are coming in here and saying she's ugly and not beautiful instead', they're saying 'it's annoying how people are coming in here and judging the look based on how sexually attractive they find it alone'.

Why do I get the feeling some wish all fantasy females in games looked like the fantasy artworked from the late 70s and 80-90s.
Not there is anything with that to each their own.

So whats wrong with this?
Because the quality of the design of a race doesn't reside solely on how physically attractive it is?

If she were an NPC that would be one thing. But she won't exist in anyones game unless you choose to copy the appearance. What the character looks like is not tracked by the game in any way shape of form.

No, women are not part of the Antaam (the military) but they can be Ben-Hassrath which is basically like police, spies, secret agents ect (IB is one). They can fight but their role isn't to fight, it's to defend the faith and protect Qunari society.
People get confused because in Origins Sten says "women don't fight" and he finds it hard to believe that a female warden and Morrigan are women.
Also any Qunari can fight to defend themselves or their homeland.
Our PC won't actually be Qunari though, we will have been raised outside of the Qun so non of those rules apply to Qunquizzy.

And what the quality of the design has to do with this? We've seen female qunari before (art, comic). People are just saying they don't like how this particular female qunari looks in the game for them, "she is not attractive, I don't like her." thats all. It's their opinion. If you have other values - fine, thats your opinion based on your personal vision. You are not going to persuade someone in the Internet that their vision is wrong, aren't you?
Nothing wrong, it's just stupid.
Well, that was pretty constructive.

Surely people don't actually do that in real life?
What, they just sit about looking at their mother/grandmother/sister/daughter and thinking "she would look so much hotter if she were a DD cup."
Or they're getting arrested by a female Police Officer and feel the need to go "I just wanna say, I prefer blondes."

Its more hilarious really. The female Qunari looks cool and fits the design. Whether or not I want to bang her is irrelevant to me. if sexual attraction is that important for the MC then they can easily change it. Problem solved easily.

Kinda funny that this argument went on as long as it did, despite the character we saw either being a default or something one of the team whipped up in the character creator to start with.

Well, that was pretty constructive.
What goes around... There's nothing constructive about you people coming to the thread saying "she doesn't look female enough", implying that femininity is a very narrow concept defined exclusively by you. You said it yourself:
She looks more like a chaos space marine than a female.
And then you tried to change the subject and play the victim card:
People are just saying they don't like how this particular female qunari looks in the game for them, "she is not attractive, I don't like her." thats all.
It's not all and it's just not what you're saying. And no, it's not an opinion, it's a misconception. There were plenty constructive thoughts on the topic in this thread, but you people just can't seem to get it. So there.

Well, qunari is the easiest thing to remember. Words like kossith or whatever aren't really thrown around enough for it to register with people.

Does it matter? I've seen people complaining about Vivienne's lips (on Russian forums, but still), so...
Well, to be honest, I think those lips are enormous and a bit distracting. I dislike Vivienne's face altogether, but maybe it is just the lips that are ruining it for me...

Is it confirmed that the different people in Thedas are species?
Because so far everything indicates that they are just different races, with interbreeding (elfXhuman is confirmed, humanXdwarf is strongly hinted at in the codex), which wouldn't be possible if they were different species.
And if that meant that elven, human, dwarf and qunari were just different races of the same species instead, it's not at all surpsrisingly they would look a lot alike.
Well, it is entirly possible they have a common link somehwere in evolutionary past. In our past, Neanderthals could breed with ****** Sapiens, and they were technically different species.
So in Thedas, you have ****** Sapiens, ****** Arlathanis, ****** Dwarvens, ****** Qunaris, etc ![]()
Oh come on, the latin name for our species is blocked? Replace stars with H_o_m_o

I just wish Bioware could get the hang of women's arms. They don't have to be huge but they need to just be a little bit bigger, they should be at least the size of Aveline's arms.

Because no one cares if she gave you a hard-on or not. Try giving some constructive criticism.
It does not matter because she's not a character. just a string of numbers in a character creator.
